For the Fool I liked so much who literally hid me out of sight for fear of being seen talking to me when someone more worthwhile came by. For the Dandy who said I lived too far away to date who got a girlfriend right afterwards who lived across the country. For the Unstable Mess of a man who warmed the last shreds of my poor heart before deciding I might be a threat to his life and disappearing. For the Nice Guy who keeps me around, but says I’m not successful enough at my profession to be his partner, even though music is what I live/eat/sleep/breathe.
And for the gallons and gallons of willful silence I swallow because all of them just meant well, carrying no malicious intent, living life the best they can. It’s been an… interesting last four years. (at Los Angeles, California)
