My “Frankensteined” poster just debuted over at @slashfilm, my new officially licensed Universal Monsters screen print for @bottleneckgallery and @vicepressnews. The regular version is a nine-color, 24” x 36” screen-print, masterfully printed by @thehalfandhalf. The variant edition is four-colors and glows in the dark (third image). Another set of illustrations for my personal project.
I am not sure what to comment without rambling, but yeah this set focuses on scars (not fully se|fharм in context of the story, but still body harm)
I watched a lot of tutorials to adapt them to my art style, and just thought a lot about human body and the kind of marks it bears in general.
I thought about also adding teethmarks as it’s something I struggle with personally, but at this scale it was hard to make it discernible what they were

Two creatures, both alike in dignity: a love story.
Here it is my friends! I’m so proud and honored to have painted this for Fiends of the Dark III with @wowxwow !
This painting has been a simmering work in progress for a few months and I don’t exaggerate when I say it was a really amazing experience to make, I feel like I really tested my own limits and told the story that I wanted to tell. I’m very proud of this work.

Actually, painted about 75% of this a couple years ago. It was strange and interesting picking up a painting again after a longer gap, and noticing areas that could be changed or improved upon. Also, a mysterious challenge in trying to guess and match color mixes. I think I did alright, but should probably start taking color notes if I make this a habit, lol
