Sometimes the holidays aren’t all bright and happy, sometimes they’re bittersweet.

I’m so glad I got the chance to complete this little comic for the ApexHolodays zine. High res version is included in the download [which I’m putting in the reblog, because links and tumblr don’t mix].

I missed being able to participate in zines and art projects, so was thrilled to be able to contribute to @nighte-studios​ “Mirage’s Guide to the Holo-day Cheer”!

Don’t mind me, just putting my heirloom wishlist out in the void.

Might be tiny, but knuckle dusters seem perfect.
Old world tank grenade dud [?] is a very close second with fun attachments.

Imagining Crypto being able to take over the robots or robotic implants…

…and that’ll teach my Octane for throwing jump pads under me when I’m playing Crypto and in drone view.

May or may not have been thinking too much on exactly HOW Fuse’s arm is connected/wired up. I have no mechanical know-how…why am I like this?

Overcolored quick sketch that I drew while working on the previous post.

So with a handful of Legends getting “Origin” type skins in the Genesis event, I wanted to take a crack at designing one for my main. Had to create where “Wally” goes and keep in mind the reoccurring design elements from his other skins. Plus the grenade launcher has to be mounted on since he’s got both arms at this point XD

The paintings in the “Good as Gold” trailer are pretty muddy on the detail front [and wtf are those shoulder knobs?]. But this was my jumping off point:

With season 9 around the corner, I just have a lot of ideas for holosprays

Are they good ideas? Nah, but this was fun.

Better question is where they got the craft glue and googly eyes [probably Wattson].

Disclaimer: I know nothing about guitars or how to play them, I just wanted to draw some casual sketches of Fuse…the guitar was an accident.

Translation 1: 4x8 sniper scope and a skull piercer

Translation 2: barrel stabilizer and a stock, possibly a mag too

…in conclusion the party chat short hand has gotten out of control.

It’s now officially been a month since season 8 launched, so I think it’s safe to say I do indeed have a new favorite legend.

Now if I could stop playing to get some drawing in, that’d be great.
