Reference sheet of Jonathan Crane in and out of his scarecrow costume. He is tall with a lean face and red hair. His outfit is brown, tan, and red and made of tattered fabric, and he is wearing a skull-like gas mask. Has detail shots of his fear toxin weapons.
Jonathan Crane in his scarecrow costume, holding a syringe. His outfit is brown, tan, and red and made of tattered fabric, and he is wearing a skull-like gas mask, a fluffy straw wig, and a ripped poncho.

The Master of Fear, the Lord of Despair, the Prince of Panic, scream hosannas of anguish to the Scarecrow!

A ref of my version of Jon, including a bonus variant of his cold weather/winter costume! (Gotta stay toasty while terrifying the populace, right?)

“When the world fights, you fight back”

Watercolor art trade I did with the wonderful Jamie Kaye. Took me way too long to finish this piece but I still like it despite being old as hell.

Inspired by Robert de Niro in “Raging Bull” and of course, Stan’s knock-out of a personality.

“Look at this, Chang! Aliens in Nevada? Papers will print anything nowadays. Unbelievable!”

“Well, the yeti exists.”

A story idea I’ve had in my head for some time, it’s the late 50s and poorly researched stories of alien sightings are flooding the tabloids. A middle aged Tintin and Chang have a pretty severe midlife crisis and decide the best thing to do to clear up the narrative is to travel to Nevada and break into Area 51.

Will they uncover aliens, or some sinister cold war secrets? Haunted by the previous world war and a greater understanding of their responsibilities as journalists, Tintin and Chang struggle to decide what to do with their discoveries.

“Irish folklorist and dramatist Lady Augusta Gregory penned some of the most memorable and timeless retellings of tales from Irish mythology. Recently, the Folio Society — makers of such exquisitely crafted books as The Alice B. Toklas Cookbook illustrated by Natacha Ledwidge– resurrected Lady Gregory’s tales in a lavish slip-case edition of Irish Myths and Legends (public library) featuring stunning art by Brooklyn-based illustrator and cartoonist Jillian Tamaki.”
