So i tried on my cosplay for the first time :3 con is gunna be great :D
“A sad headcanon. Because I believe theory of astolfo’s sister survived to Granatum tragedy but got kidnapped and become N°70.
I have thought what was she is doing inside the hunters,because she have become mute she woudn’t be able to become an hunter.
So she worked with Mira and learning to be a blacksmirt and Astolfo’s lance was her gift to him and last weapon she made.“

“I really appreciated anime’s Astolfo background gives us character design with eyes to his family and his “friend”,and not making them faceless.
And sorry Astolfo but I’ve thought your parents were hot.
Only design I didn’t like was her sister; it was lazy she looks more like his twin than his little sister. They could leave same eyes but changing color of her hair in fuchsia or blonde.
But I really loved how much it showed Astolfo and her were close each other and why her death was devastating for him.“

“I hate to be that person, but i like the manga better than the anime.
i didn’t really enjoy this weeks episode. I thought it was a bit weird where they cut off the last episode with jeanne and vanitas and start the episode there. to me it felt a bit jarring, but whatever, its not that big of a deal. there were also a couple of scenes that were just wide shots of the library and the characters were small and u couldn’t see them talking…maybe i’m being picky but i definitely noticed the production a lot more than previous episodes.
seeing astolfo’s background was…interesting. it was interesting. i appreciated the anime-original information. You can see how astolfo struggles to uphold family values and is allowed to deviate from being a paladin, only for his choice to backfire really badly. however, i feel like it should’ve taken more than one child vampire to kill astolfo’s whole family of paladins who’ve been hunting vampires for generations…I think there is still much for astolfo’s character to explore.
one character i felt that was done dirty was dante. minor spoiler: dante’s falshback and seeing how dhampir kind are treated and why he chooses to work with vanitas. we didn’t get that in the anime and if its one thing im super curious about in the world of vanitas, its dhampirs. astolfo is a popular character so fine i understand why he gets more screen time, but… |:<this turned into a long rant…whoops“

“Maybe i ’m conspiracy theorist but I think there is more in tragedy astolfo’s family maybe a cospiration agaist them. We know that family was very important with strong connection with Church, an hunter family who got paladine for years … killed by a group of normal vampires?We are not talking about cursed bearer or stronger vampires like de sade family. Hadn’t they got guards.trained agaist vampires in case of revenge? Wasn’t Lord granatum an hunter,a paladine himself? A man used to battle. Yes,vampires could sneak out using Astolfo’s info, or using Astolfo and his sister for blackmailed but
I don’t know, it didn’t look like an improvised plan,maybe there was already a mole inside,maybe another family/or Church tried to destroy Granatum.
We know Giano is with vampires. If I am right this can turn Astolfo agaist the Church and started his character devolved“

“Astolfo’s weapon is named “Louisette” and like many I thought that it could be the name of his deceased little sister but today in French language lesson we learned that before being called a guillotine, it was called a louisette, interesting knowing that in a certain way his weapon is used to decapitate someone. I wonder if his weapon could be named after his little sister and that and if it will turn out to be relevant to the story. I don’t know if anyone has already spoken about it though“

“Yohan and Dante raises the theory that someone would have try to make everyone(Vanitas, Noé, Dante, Yohan etc…) assemble (in Gevaudan), which seems to be confirmed by Gano’s intervention 2 cases later. But I wonder if it was planned by the latter that Astolfo accompany him and that he loses control to distract Roland when the latter arrives. Or just to distract Vanitas’s group because were Roland and Olivier even supposed to go to Gevaudan initially?
What makes me think that the presence of astolfo was necessary in order to distract Roland (if it was planned he’ll show up) is that Gano speaks directly of Roland after mentioning the role of Astolfo in the recovery of the machine core. In addition, the case where we are shown Roland in Gano’s mind has been modified to show us a much more serious Roland. Does this image come from a time when Roland had an argument with Astolfo but Gano understood that Roland was taking care of Astolfo and would watch him at the expense of his distrust of Gano. Or is it just a way to show the rivalry between Gano and Roland.“
