Normally Jalter couldn’t say she minded. Watching the aftermath of whatever ridiculous thing she’d done last was always entertaining, even if sometimes the guda guda singularities got completely out of control.
But that was only the case when Nobunaga’s ridiculousness didn’t involve her.
“Give it back!” Jalter yelled, her cheeks flushing red as she chased Nobunaga through the halls of Chaldea. The Archer – or was she a Berserker, since it was summer? - had been visiting her in her rooms when she had peeked inside her closet and found a little remnant of summers past.
Now she was wearing Jalter’s swimsuit, laughing merrily as she ran to evade the angry french-woman chasing her.
“No way! This is hilarious! You’re not even Japanese, why do you need three katanas? And they’re so well made!” Nobu laughed with glee as she looked back to see Jalter’s embarrassment grow.
“Shut up, shut up! It’s an aesthetic! A style!” she yelled back. It had been very fun when they were in Luluhawa, but seeing somebody else wear her swimsuit and swing her katanas around while shouting her attack names was mortifying.Especially because she was pretty sure Nobunaga wasn’t even trying to be particularly mean.
Just a little mean. Something about playgrounds and pigtails, Master had said. It made Jalter slightly less angry, and more just… flustered. And a little pleased, though she’d never admit it.
“I should show these to Muramasa, he’d be so impressed!” Nobunaga yelled behind her, and whatever warm and fuzzy feeling that had been building in Jalter’s chest immediately fizzled out.
“Don’t you dare!I’llkill you if you do that, Nobunaga! Get back here, right now!”
For@cheesecake12 for the fate summer exchange! This was a fun art experiment and I really enjoyed it. :) Jalter/Nobu is an amazing concept.
