“Please stop,” you cried, reaching out to grab the bottle of alcohol from your bestfriend; he had just gotten home from a bar and was drinking again. Yunho was drinking at almost every hour of the day, not stopping at all even after he passed out multiple times.

You really don’t know when and how your bestfriend started drinking way more than a person should, but at this point, you were sure this was alcoholism. You wanted to get him out of it, but nothing you did seemed to work out; he even refused to get help professionally, saying that he’s not gonna pay so much just to talk to someone about his problems. If he wasn’t drinking at a bar, he was drinking in his apartment and it was starting to scare you.

“Get lost,” Yunho spat, not allowing you to take the bottle away from him.

“Yunho, please, this is way too much! You’re going to pass out again!” You really wished he would talk to you about his problems; you both were bestfriends ever middle school and you knew everything about each other. You don’t know why Yunho suddenly stopped opening up to you.

“Just leave, Y/N,” he said in a cold tone, taking a sip of the alcohol.

“I’m not going any—”

“Just leave!” he yelled, making you flinch a little. “Leave me the fuck alone! Go run to that fucking asshole!”

Your eyes widened. “What? Who?”

He chuckled bitterly. “You think I don’t know that you slept with Jae?”

“Yunho, I’ve never even spoken to him!”

“Don’t fucking lie to me!” he yelled, throwing the bottle at the wall. You jumped at the sound of the glass shattering. “I saw you leaving with him at that party!”

You took a deep breath, trying to calm yourself down before you could calm him down. “Yunho, you’ve misunderstood! I left with Mingi, remember? You told him to drop me home! I—”

“Why am I not good enough for you? Why can’t you see how much I’m in love with you?” he mumbled, cutting you off, and you froze in place. Yunho sat down against the wall, staring at the space in front of him. “I can’t do well at my job. My friends ignore me most of the time. My family doesn’t bother contacting me. The woman I love doesn’t love me back. I only have alcohol.” So that’s what this was all about.

You kneeled beside your bestfriend, taking his face in your hands. He stared at you with his pain-filled eyes, causing your heart to ache. “Yunho, I didn’t know you fell in love with me. If I had known that, I would’ve told you that I feel the same way.”

He moved away from you. “I don’t want your pity, Y/N. Just leave me alone.”

“I love you, Yunho,” you confessed. “I’ve been in love with you for years. Why do you think I haven’t dated anyone?”

You reached out to hold his hands, but he pushed yours away harshly. “Leave me alone! I don’t give a fuck if you love me and I don’t need you in my life. I don’t want to see you ever again,” he said, slowly getting up from the floor. “So get out of my house. Now.”

You stood up from the floor, staring at him in disbelief. “Yun—” you paused. You were trying so hard to not cry, but you knew you would break down any second. You looked at his emotionless face before you nodded; you didn’t want to leave him in that state, but maybe he just needed to be alone right now.

You took your sling bag and pulled out a bottle of painkillers, knowing Yunho would need them in the morning. You left them on his dining table before you left.

It was pouring heavily outside, but you didn’t care. You walked in the rain with an aching heart and a mind filled with thoughts of Yunho.

“Y/N!”

You kept walking, eyes focused on the ground while your tears blended with the rain.

“Y/N!” Yunho grabbed your wrist, making you turn around. He was breathing heavily due to running after you. He cupped your cheeks, staring into your eyes. His eyes never left yours while took his leather jacket off, putting it over your head and then his own, shielding you both from the rain. You kept your eyes on the ground, but you could feel his eyes on you. You slowly looked up, noticing how there were only a few centimeters between you and him. Your eyes flickered between Yunho’s eyes and his lips, and he slowly leaned down, stopping at your parted lips, waiting for a few seconds to see if you would push him away. When you didn’t, he captured your lips with his own. Your hands moved down to grasp his shirt while you kissed him back; you’ve dreamed about kissing him for so many years.

Yunho pulled away after a while, resting his forehead against yours. “I’m sorry for behaving like an asshole,” he murmured. “When you walked out the door, I felt like my whole world was shattering.” You cupped his cheek, making him look at you. “I-I can’t lose you, Y/N,” he continued. “I love you you much. I know it’s hard to love me, to be with me… but please give me a chance. I can’t see you with someone else. I promise to become better for you. I swear I’ll become better.”

“I love you and that’s why I’m willing to try,” you replied honestly. “But you have to let me help you, Yunho. You’re drinking way too much, it scares me. I almost get a heart attack whenever you pass out. I can’t lose you, Yunho, you mean the whole world to me. Please, let me help you.” your voice cracked at the end, making Yunho realize just how much his actions affected you. He took a deep breath before nodding his head; he wanted to become better not only for you, but also for himself.

Yunho wrapped his jacket around you before he lifted you bridal-style, carrying you back to his apartment to show you just how much he loves you.

ATEEZ Reactions- Leading him/you on prank.

Warning: suggestive content

Seonghwa:

“Hwa!” you called out from your bedroom. “Could you come here?”

“Coming!” you heard your boyfriend say. A few seconds later, he entered the room. “What’s up, babe?”

You didn’t say a word. You only pulled your t-shirt over your head, making Seonghwa’s eyes widen. You took a few slow steps towards him, leaving a small gap between the two of you.

Seonghwa smirked, knowing exactly where this was going.

“Could you put some moisturizing cream on my back, please?”

You reached for the bottle of moisturizer that you kept ready on the bed, handing it to a surprised Seonghwa.

“O-Oh sure…” he mumbled, cheeks turning pink.

You silently laughed, telling him about the little prank you pulled after he moisturized your back.

“Babe! I was literally mentally scolding myself for my sinful thoughts,” Seonghwa whined adorably.

Hongjoong:

Hongjoong had been so touchy with you the whole day, but he never really did anything to you and neither did he let you do anything to him.

“Y/N, look at this,” Hongjoong said, turning his laptop so that you could clearly see the screen. “I wanna buy this for us.”

Your eyes widened at the sight of the imagine of what you assumed to be a vibrator. You didn’t have any issues with getting one, but you were just surprised with how straightforward your boyfriend was being.

“It’s great at relieving stress, you know? I think it’ll make us feel really good,” he continued, trying his best not to laugh.

“Well, yeah, vibrators are meant for that,” you mumbled, causing Hongjoong to burst out laughing.

“It’s a massager, babe! What were you thinking?!” he laughed harder when your cheeks heated up.

“I don’t like you,” you groaned, making him finally pull you into a kiss, telling you all about his little prank.

Yunho:

“Which flavor do you want?” you asked your boyfriend, showing him four different popsicles that you recently bought. You randomly got the idea of leading him on to see how he would react, and you knew the popsicles were the perfect prop.

“I’ll have the lemon one,” he said, and you handed it to him.

You took the strawberry-kiwi one, taking your time to have the cold dessert in an unusual way that would certainly capture Yunho’s attention.

You glanced at Yunho, pleased to see him already looking at you. You knew your dirty-minded boyfriend’s thoughts were anything but pure.

You put the popsicle into your mouth, lightly hollowing your cheeks, looking directly at Yunho who was almost done with his own popsicle.

You pulled the popsicle out of your mouth, giving it kitten licks exactly like how you do to him.

Yunho had enough, an obvious tent forming in his jeans. “If you keep having the popsicle like that… I might just replace it with something bigger and better.”

Yeosang:

Two weeks ago, you decided to pull the famous ‘leading my significant other on’ prank on Yeosang. The video got a lot of views and your YouTube channel gained a large number of subscribers.

Presently, Yeosang was pulling that prank on you. He waited for two whole weeks to do this as he knew you’d know what he was upto if he did it earlier.

After setting up the camera on the bookshelf, Yeosang sat beside you on the couch. “Babe?”

You didn’t take your eyes off your phone. “Hmm?”

Yeosang gently took your phone from you and placed it on the table. He moved back to his previous position before he leaned in. You were quite excited, considering Yeosang had subtly teased you the entire day.

You waited for him to kiss you and give you some relief, but he didn’t, much to your dismay. Yeosang smirked and you caught on to his plan. “I know what you’re trying to do,” you said, narrowing your eyes.

“I don’t know what you’re talking about,” he stated innocently, using your exact words from two weeks ago.

San:

“What are you doing, baby?” San asked, glancing at you from the corner of his eye while he drove. Your hand was on his thigh, just a few centimeters away from his crotch.

“Hm? Nothing,” you said, giving his thigh a squeeze.

San looked suspicious, but he chose to focus on the road instead, albeit it was a difficult task, especially when your hand moved further up.

San bit his lip, but his eyes were fixed on the road. “Babe… do you want me to crash?”

You didn’t reply and you didn’t move your hand away either. When San reached a red signal, you took the opportunity to place your hand over his growing bulge. “Oops.”

San knew exactly what you were trying to do. As soon as the signal light turned green, he took a turn that was in the opposite direction of your shared apartment. He drove to the parking lot of a nearby supermarket, surprising you that he couldn’t wait just a little bit longer.

“Now, sweetheart, I can’t drive with this problem you’ve caused,” he stated in a low tone. “So until you fix it, we aren’t going home.”

Mingi:

“Are you going out somewhere?” you asked your boyfriend, scanning his outfit from head to toe. You thought he looked insanely hot in the black denim jacket you bought for his birthday.

“No, I’m staying home,” he simply replied.

“Oh… why are you dressed up?” you asked, slightly confused. You assumed that he probably wanted to take pictures of himself.

“Can’t I look good for you?” he asked innocently, albeit his purpose of dressing like that was anything but innocent.

“For me?” you raised an eyebrow, a smile forming on your face.

“Mhmm.” He moved towards you, towering over your smaller form. “Do I look nice?” he questioned, hands moving to your waist, pulling you closer to him.

“Yeah…” you closed your eyes when he leaned down, ready for him to kiss you. But it never came.

Instead, Mingi pulled away, leaving you stunned for a good few seconds until you realized what he was trying to do.

“Mingi! Get back here!”

Wooyoung:

Wooyoung wrapped an arm around your waist, bringing you closer to his body while the two of you cuddled on the couch to watch a movie.

While you were so focused on the movie, Wooyoung wasn’t. He found it pretty boring and wanted to do something else, so he decided to play around with you.

Wooyoung placed a kiss on your shoulder, earning a smile from you in response. He slowly began trailing kisses from your shoulder to your sensitive neck, taking his time to mark your skin, successfully gaining all your attention.

When you turned around in his arms to kiss him, he only pecked you before getting off the couch. You thought he was gonna ask you to go to the bedroom, but he went to the kitchen instead, leaving you all hot and bothered.

“I’m gonna start making dinner now,” he said, trying not to laugh at your confused face.

You cleared your throat. “Well, that can wait. You better finish what you started or else we ain’t having sex for a week and—”

That was all it took for Wooyoung to run to you before dragging you to the bedroom.

Jongho:

Jongho was busy learning lyrics of a song he was going to perform. You scrolled through tiktok, watching videos of the 'leading my significant other on’ trend.

You couldn’t help but want to try it on your boyfriend, curious about how he would react.

You kept your phone aside before getting up from the couch, moving to the other couch which Jongho was lying down on.

You straddled his lap, surprising him. You leaned down slowly, barely brushing his lips with your own before you pulled away and got off of him.

Jongho got up, tossing his phone aside, easily picking you up bridal style before you could escape, making you let out a small squeak.

“You can’t just do that to me,” he said with a pout, carrying you to his bedroom.

“But I did.”

Jongho smirked. “Then be prepared to face the consequences now, doll,” he said, locking his bedroom door.

“What are you guys up to?” you questioned, plopping down on the couch beside Wooyoung. Yunho, Jongho, and San were seated on the opposite couch.

“Just talking about one of our hostages who we will kill tonight,” Yunho replied while playing with a rubik’s cube.

“What did they do?” you asked.

“He tried to sabotage our latest drug deal with a secret dealer from Russia. We didn’t know how he found out about it, but he spilled the beans on his gang,” San answered. “So we don’t need him anymore.”

“Well… rest in peace, I guess,” you remarked, making Wooyoung snort.

“Would’ve been better if we killed Yang Daeyoung instead.”

You turned to look at him. “Who exactly is he? I’ve heard his name a few times, but I’ve never gotten the opportunity to ask.”

Jongho gently cleared his throat. “He’s the man who raped and murdered Hongjoong’s sister. Him and three of his men. He wasn’t from a very powerful gang or anything, but he does his work extremely well. He wanted to take us down, and he used Hongjoong’s sister as bait to trap him. Hongjoong refused to give up on Ateez. By the time we managed to track Hongjoong, the damage was already done.” You felt your heart break; you couldn’t even imagine what your boyfriend had to go through.

“Where is Yang Daeyoung now?” you asked.

“Rotting in our torture chamber as we speak.”

Your eyes widened in surprise. “What?! Why haven’t you killed him yet?”

“We are looking for his child,” Hongjoong replied, joining the conversation. “The man has over five trillion won kept in a secret bank account. He also has information, good and bad, on every mafia gang and the corrupted politicians and locals involved. That’s why all gangs are still on the lookout for him even though we captured him eight months ago. He has a secret place somewhere in the world and only his child can access his possessions as he used iris pattern recognition. He has covered up everything though. We can’t find shit on any of his family members.”

“No amount of threatening or torturing works on him. We even told him that we’ll find his child and torture them,” Jongho added. “But he won’t reveal anything to us.”

“Maybe I can try?” you suggested. You did learn how to torture someone for information, but it wasn’t something you really enjoyed.

“Your chances are extremely low,” Wooyoung remarked.

“I’m aware of that. But even a little information could be helpful, right?”

“Go ahead then, sweetheart,” Hongjoong said with a smirk. “I’d love to see my girl torture that filthy bastard.”

You pecked his lips. “Then let’s go now, shall we?”

You made your way to the torture room, Hongjoong, Jongho, and Wooyoung following you. Seonghwa joined you after finishing his work in the interrogation room, satisfied with how much information he was able to obtain. Jongho entered a passcode for one of the rooms, letting everyone inside.

The room was pretty dark and looked like a jail cell. You saw a plate of untouched food on the floor. There was a chair in the middle of the room and a cot at the end of the room where Yang Daeyoung was sleeping, his back facing you all, long chains attached from his hands to a pipe.

Wooyoung moved to the sleeping form, giving the man a kick on his back to wake him up. “Get up, fucker.”

Yang Daeyoung groaned in pain before sitting up, looking at the faces of everyone in the room. As soon as you made eye contact with the man, your heart dropped to your stomach.

His eyes widened. “Kiah?! What are you doing here?!”

The boys immediately turned to look at you. You weren’t able to utter a word due to how shocked you were at seeing your own father there. His hair was quite long and he had a long beard and moustache. There were a few scars on his face and arms.

“How do you know her?” Hongjoong interrogated.

“Run from here, Kiah! They’re gonna kill you,” your father yelled at you.

“Do you know him?” Seonghwa asked you, but you weren’t able to answer. You felt sick. You felt terribly sick that it was your father who raped and murdered your lover’s sister.

Tears rolled down your eyes when you glanced at your boyfriend. How could you ever face him now?

“Kiah!” your father yelled, tugging hard on the chains, grabbing your attention. “Get out of here! They’re gonna torture you in front my eyes! They said they will find you and torture you!”

Hongjoong looked at you with an emotionless expression, finally understanding the situation. “You’re his daughter?” You couldn’t respond.

“Are you this bastard’s daughter?!” he yelled at you. Before you could answer him, he rushed out of the room. You couldn’t help but cry, burying your face in your hands, feeling your heart ache.

Your father glared at you angrily. “Why are you involved with Ateez?! What is wrong with—"

“Shut up!” you shouted, cutting him off. “You’re fucking pathetic! How could you r-rape someone when you have a daughter?! How could you lie to me all these years that you’re a cop, when you’re nothing but a heartless monster!” you sobbed loudly, collapsing onto the floor. You felt someone kneel beside you, wrapping their arms around you.

“Get away from her, Park Seonghwa!” your father spat.

Seonghwa turned to glare at him. “Shut it,” he said, before helping you stand up, taking you to your room.

You blankly stared at the window of your room from your bed, watching the horizon darker as night was approaching. It has been four days since you last saw Hongjoong. You felt nothing but emptiness and agony. You didn’t know if he was at the mansion or if he went somewhere as you haven’t left your room at all ever since Seonghwa brought you to it. The girls tried to make you eat, but you barely had the appetite to.

You sighed, forcing yourself to get out of bed to take a shower even though you were going to crawl right back into it.

Stripping out of your clothes and entering the shower, you pushed the tap, letting the warm water soak you. Closing your eyes, you could feel a dull ache in your chest when you began to think of Hongjoong. A sob got stuck in your throat, but escaped a few seconds later. You couldn’t hold it back anymore. You sat down, hugging your propped up knees. Your sobs got louder, and your throat was aching, tears mixing with the water running down your face.

After spending a few minutes crying until you couldn’t anymore, you finally washed your body and your hair.

Stepping out of the shower, you wrapped a towel around your body and another one for your hair. You exited the bathroom after putting some clothes on, having no strength to dry your hair with a blow-dryer. You stopped in your tracks when you noticed a figure seated on your bed.

“I’m sorry…” Hongjoong apologized, getting off your bed and moving towards you. He stood in front of you with a pained expression on his beautiful face. You wondered how long he was waiting for you and you really hoped he didn’t hear you cry. Even if he didn’t, he could still tell you were crying as your red, puffy eyes gave it away.

“F-For what?” you stuttered, voice shaky.

Hongjoong sighed, looking down at his feet.  “I shouldn’t have yelled at you. I shouldn’t have left you alone when you were going through much worse. It was a shock for you too…”

Your eyes filled with tears. “I understand why you did it. It’s okay…”

He shook his head. “No, it’s not okay, baby. I’m ashamed of how I acted. You didn’t deserve that.”

You blinked, causing the tears brimming at your eyes to slide down your cheeks. Hongjoong reached up to cup your cheeks, gently wiping your tears away with his thumbs. He placed a gentle, lingering kiss on your forehead. “I’m so sorry.”

You closed your eyes, shaking your head in his hold. You pulled away from him, taking a deep breath. “Hongjoong, I-I think it’s best if we end things.” His eyes widened, heart aching due to your words. He opened his mouth to say something, but you spoke before he could. “I’m the daughter of the man who raped and murdered your sister, Hongjoong. I-I can’t…” you paused, sobs taking over. “I can’t live with that fact. I can’t look at you without thinking about it.”

“I don’t care, Kiah,” he reached out to hold your hands, his own eyes filling with tears. “I love you. Do you understand? I fucking love you. Yes, I was furious when I found out that you were the daughter of that bastard, but you shouldn’t have to suffer because of him. You didn’t even know what he does for a living. It’s not your problem.”

You sniffled. “You don’t h-hate me?” you couldn’t help but ask.

“Baby…” he sighed, pulling you into a hug, his own tears rolling down his beautiful face. “I could never hate you. Never. You’re the love of my life. Fuck, I can’t even live without you. These past four days… I felt like I was gonna go insane if I didn’t see you, but I had to give you some space.” You didn’t know what to say.

“There’s no me without you,” he continued, gently pushing you away so that he could see your face. “So please… never try to break up with me again. I’d rather die than live without you,” he cried. You wrapped your arms around him, burying your face in his chest while you both cried together. Hongjoong placed soft kisses onto your head, trying to calm himself and you down.

When your sobs stopped, he gently pushed you away so that he could look at your face. He cupped your cheek, titling your head back before he leaned in, capturing your lips with his own in a soft kiss.

He pulled away, resting his forehead against you. “I love you,” he murmured.

You smile slightly. “I love you more.”

Epilogue

“Oh my god! We’re finally here!” Jiwoo squealed, running on the cooling sand. Ateez managed to find out the location of your father’s secret hideout in Fiji with the help of Yeosang who used your iris pattern to track the computer. Ateez managed to receive all your father’s possessions and now you all had flown across Fiji for a mini vacation.

“Jiwoo’s dream destination is Fiji and now we’re here,” San said, watching his girlfriend with love and adoration. You chuckled, watching San run after Jiwoo to join her little hyper session.

“We’re gonna go rest for a while,” Seonghwa stated, holding Aeji’s hand.

Wooyoung smirked. “I know what that means,” he said, earning a smack on his head from the older man before the couple went to their beach house in the chain of houses.

Hongjoong took your hand in his, intertwining it. “We’re gonna rest too. See you all for dinner,” he said, dragging you along to your little beach house.

The two of you walked in comfortable silence, sandals leaving prints on the sand, observing the various hues of orange, red, blue, and purple in the beautiful sky as the sun was setting. Hongjoong let go of your hand when you reached your beach house, pausing in his tracks. You gave him a questioning look, wondering why he wasn’t going inside.

He cleared his throat, moving his hands to wrap around your waist. “You’re the only one who could tame my temper, as the boys always say,“ he started, making you giggle. “The only one who could make my heart beat so fast. I’ve never wanted anything more in life than to be with you. You aren’t just my girlfriend, you’re my best friend and the love of my life. But now I’d like to change that,” he reached into his pocket, taking out a small velvet box.

Hongjoong got down on one knee, and you gasped, realizing what was about to happen. “I’d like to be upgraded from your boyfriend to your fiancé.” You chuckle at that and he opened the box, revealing a beautiful oval-shaped diamond ring.

“Moon Kiah, will you do me the honor of marrying me?”

“Yes!” you squealed, face beaming with happiness. Hongjoong took your hand in his, sliding the ring onto your finger. He got up and you pulled him into a bone-crushing hug. When you pulled away, he grinned before placing a soft kiss on your lips. “I love you. Thank you for bringing light to my life.”

You wrapped your arms around his neck. “I love you too, Joong. So much.” Hongjoong chuckled, pulling you into a sweet kiss.

You couldn’t wait for this new chapter in your life, spending it with Hongjoong by your side for the rest of eternity.

Previous-Part 5-Masterlist.

  • Hong Joong, Woo Young.

“Will you tell us where you are?”The man hears Jong Ho’s voice booming through the speaker in his car, turning around the corner.

“All in good time, Jong,”the man mumbles, “all in good time. I’ll call you later.”

“Hyung-”

Before he could complete the sentence, the man cuts the call, and puts the phone in the pocket of his coat, unlocking the door to get out and looks overhead at the mansion behind the white gates. He walks as poised as he could, and nods at the security guard, who acknowledges his presence and lets him in. As he enters the mansion, his sight falls on the old house cleaner who you were close to, cleaning the pictures on the wall with a sad smile, including the family picture, staring at it, probably reminiscing the good times she got to see and spend with you and your parents. She seemed to hear the clank of his shoes against the marble floor, since she lifted her head and looked at the man.

“Woo Young-ah,”she says, as he embraces her in a hug, eyes closing on the warmth of her aura, “how have you been? You don’t visit me anymore..”

“Sorry Mrs Lim, it’s just I’ve been a bit occupied, with you know,”he says, his gaze falling on your portrait, “this.”

She sighs, looking at the same portrait, “she was too young to die, such a nice girl; Joong locks himself most of the time, and only comes out for dinner and lunch.”

Woo Young looks up at the corridor leading by the stairs, sighing.

“I’ll talk to him,”he says, looking at the woman besides him, “he needs to be with us today. He finally avenged her, and he needs to know it and acknowledge it.”

The woman nods at him and sides away, giving him space. He smiles at her softly and squeezes her arm, before retreating, and walks towards the stairs. As he reaches the corridor, he comes near the door with your tag on it, looking at it and sighing. But what stopped him from walking ahead towards Joong’s room were the muffled whimpers coming from yours. Seeing the door ajar slightly, he sees Hong Joong crying softly, as your photo and his stands in front of him.

He tries walking away silently, but his hand touches the table near the door, making the vase on it lose its balance and make a creaking noise, but he catches it swiftly.

“Who’s there?”he hears Hong Joong ask softly, before he sighs and decides to walk in the room, “Mrs Lim, is that you?”

Woo Young shows himself up, smiling softly at Hong Joong.

“Woo? What are you doing here?”

“I came to pick you up, hyung,”he says, as he enters the room, taking in the presence of your absence. His gaze falls on a number of photo frames in the room, the most prominent being the picture you took of both you and San from your first date at the dumpling shop down the road. He smiles sadly at it, and looks at Hong Joong, who stares into the distance.

“Hyung?”

“Huh? Yeah,”he says, wiping the tears from the corner of his eyes, “why?”

“We avenged her,”he says softly, as he crouches next to him, “we need to give her a proper funeral.”

“Did San come?”

“He hasn’t yet,”he says, looking down, “said he needed some time.”

“What about Min Gi?”

“Neither did he,”he mumbles, making Joong sigh, “Yun Ho is driving him. He’ll probably come here at dusk. Yun Ho is driving him.”

“He still blames me, isn’t it?”

“Hyung,”Woo Young mumbles, making Hong Joong shake his head.

“No, I know I’ve been irresponsible, costing the life of my only family,”he cries, tumbling into Woo Young’s arms, “I’ll never be able to forgive myself.”

Woo Young looks up at the ceiling, trying to control his own tears. He hugs his hyung and comforts him, trying his hardest not to break down.

“Hyung, listen to me,”he says, pulling away from Hong Joong, “no one is blaming you. Like you, Min Gi shared a special bond with her, and he might have said things in anger, but he never meant it. As for San, don’t worry about him. He’ll be here soon.”

“What about you?”Hong Joong asks, making Woo Young look at him quizzically, “how are you holding up?”

“What do you mean hyung-”

“I know Woo Young,”he says, making Woo Young’s eyes double up in surprise, “I know everything. With Sannie behaving like this, you must be stressed, too.”

“I don’t understand-”

“You love him, don’t you?”

“I love you too, hyung,”Woo Young laughs nervously, “I love all of you guys-”

“But not the way you do to him,”Hong Joong says, making Woo Young sit on the floor, resting his back against the bed.

“He will never see me that way, hyung,”he says, making Joong look at him sadly, “I know it’s so wrong, but I can’t help it. I don’t care about my happiness as long as he is happy, you know?”

“I understand,”he says, placing his hand on his shoulder, “maybe it will pass away with time, you know. You’ll meet someone special,”he says, smiling at him.

“What if I am still hung up on him?”

“In that case,” he says, looking at Woo Young, smiling softly, “try. None of us will feel bad. If he’s in the same place at the end of the day, who’s anyone to stop?”

“That’s true too,”he says, looking down at his lap, smiling, “thanks hyung.”

“What are brothers for, hm?”he says, as he stands up, dusting himself off, “shall we leave now?”

Woo Young smiles at him, as he gets up taking Hong Joong’s outstretched hand, dusting himself off.
