A gown for Princess Daenerys Targaryen I to wear at the Water Gardens Prince Moran of Dorne had built for her to escape the heat of Sunspear. Spring 2016 Ready-To-Wear Elie Saab.

Princess Daenerys was the daughter of King Aegon IV “The Unworthy” and Queen Naerys Targaryen, and sister to the future King Daeron “The Good”. Though it is said she and her half brother Daemon Blackfyre were in love, her brother as King could not put the interests of two he cared about over those of the realm and arranged a marriage with the Prince of Dorne to secure Dorne’s allegiance to the throne. Though arranged purely for political reasons, their’s was not an unhappy marriage, with Prince Moran eventually having the Water Gardens built for her. Upon seeing the noble’s children playing in the pools on a particularly hot day Princess Daenerys invited the servants children to join in the other children in their games. She told her son and heir “This is your realm, remember them in everything you do.” It is a tradition that has endured throughout the years. 

A gown for Jenny of Oldstones as the wife of Prince Duncan Targaryen. Fall 2015 Rodarte.
Though initially shunned at court for Prince Duncan’s decision to abdicate the throne, Jenny of Oldstones eventually became popular and welcome amongst both the nobility and the smallfolk. It was Jenny who brought the woods witch to court who prophesied that the “prince who was promised” would be born from the line of Prince Aerys (later known as the Mad King) and Princess Rhaella Targaryen.

House Bulwer is noble house from The Reach sworn to the Hightower’s who are banner-men to the Tyrell’s. The seat of House Bulwer is called Blackcrown and is located to the North of Old Town on the northern coast of the Whispering Sound. House Bulwer is one of the many houses in the reach that claim to be descended from Garth Greenhand, according to legend they are the descendants of Bors the Breaker. Their sigil is a bull’s skull on a sanguine field, “bone over blood”, and their words are “Death Before Disgrace”. The current ruling lady is “Little” Alysanne Bulwer, one of Margaery Tyrell’s Ladies in waiting and a girl of seven, she inherited her title after her father Jon Bulwer died of a summer fever. The Bulwer’s and their forces have remained loyal to the Hightower’s and Tyrell’s throughout the War of Five Kings.    

What the Lady of House Locke may wear at Old Castle. Fall 2015 Ready-To-Wear Escada.

House Locke is an old and noble house from the North and sworn to Winterfell and House Stark. Their seat is Old castle and their arms bear crossed bronze keys on purple and white striped field. The Locke’s are descended from the first men and ruled as Kings after the Long Night before eventually being reduced to vassals by House Stark. After the extermination of the Greystarks, the Locke’s held the Wolf’s Den for nearly Two Centuries before the Manderly’s arrived in the North. Lord Ned Stark’s grandmother was Lady Marna Locke. The current ruling Lord is Lord Ondrew Locke, an old man, and is survived only by Sybelle Locke, Lord Robett Glover’s wife. While Lord Ondrew and his men are at Winterfell with Lord Roose Bolton during “A Dance With Dragons”, Lord Manderly believes they will follow his lead in restoring a true Stark to Winterfell.

Something one of the Fowler twins might wear at Skyreach. Fall 2016 Ready-To-Wear, Jenny Packham.

House Fowler is an old and powerful noble house from Skyreach in Dorne located at the base of the Prince’s Pass. Due to the location of their castle the current ruling lord carries the title “Warden of the Prince’s Pass”. Their sigil is a hooded blue hawk on a silver field and their words are “Let Me Soar”. The current Lord of Skyreach is Lord Franklyn Fowler also called “The Old Hawk”. His only children and heirs are twin girls named Jeyne and Jennelyn Fowler. Growing up they were close with both Arianne Martell and Nymeria Sand. When Nymeria found out about her father, Oberyn Martell’s, death she was abed with both of the Fowler twins. In her plea to Prince Doran Martell to avenge her father she uses their words asking him to “Let Me Soar”.

The Merling Queen is a famed Courtesan in Braavos, known for her beauty and the mermaids that attend to her and carry her veil and hair. The Mermaids are young maids in the blush of their first flowering. During Arya Stark’s servitude to the Many-Faced God the Kindly Man offers Arya the opportunity to become one of the Merling Queen’s mermaids but she declines.
