Summary:The tradition in room 701 is to have their weekly video game night! Legoshi’s biggest gaming rival is his good old friend Jack, and this time they added a little… rule to the game: who ever loses gets a tickle punishment! (Also on Ao3)

There was a lively atmosphere in room 701 of the carnivorous dormitories of Cherryton Academy. Like there always was on Friday nights. Why? Well… Because these nights were reserved for all of the guys’ most favorite activity:
Game night!
Every Friday night was marked in their agendas as game night. A night full of fun and challenging video games of all sorts and genres. Combat, racing, retro, modern, strategy, and more. So much variety that there was at least a challenging game to play for everyone.
Well, aside from Legoshi. He was just good at all of the games.
“No - no no no no no! No! Come ooon!” Jack’s loud voice was louder than it ever was, only during video games. He was one of the most passionate players, together with Durham and Legoshi.
“Told you I was going to win,” the victorious wolf said, grinning.
“Why do I get the feeling you two made a… dealagain?” Voss muttered softly. He was watching the game, having lost previous game already in tonight’s tournament setting. It was two VS two, winner Vs winner, all until Jack and Legoshi were the two finalists. Not the first time.
Legoshi felt confident in this game, he was in the lead and if he was going to win… Tickle. Punishment!
“Why would you think that?” Jack asked Voss sneakily, a smirk on his face. The others rolled their eyes.
“They did. Ohhhh boy,” Collot said.
Legoshi snickered. What? Tickle punishments were fun. They added an extra thrill to the game. Even more fun if Legoshi was going to win and would be given full control over Jack’s ticklish body afterwards - a true delight for this enthusiastic wolf.
Their deal had been as simple as ever. If, just if, if Legoshi and Jack would end up in the final round together, the loser was going to have to deal with a tickle punishment. Legoshi had won the game three Fridays in a row already and was definitely on a roll, so pretty confident to make the deal.
He thought it was cute how easily Jack agreed to it, thinking he would actually make a chance to ー eh, what? Legoshi blinked, slightly deafened by the cheering and roaring sounds of their roommates who were rooting them on.
“What happened?” Legoshi asked when suddenly he was no longer in the lead.
“W-w-wait hold ooon!” Legoshi couldn’t believe it. He hadn’t been playing with his 100% attention. Part of it was already thinking of Jack’s tickle punishment, and now this happened? What a fool he was. He mashed the buttons like crazy and tried the best he could to fix his mistake, but no. Jack was already triumphant.
“I WIIIIIN!” he howled, stretching his arms up high and waving his controller around. Legoshi glanced at Jack and poked his exposed side, making him squeak.
“And I was looking forward to it,” he sighed, enjoying that single reaction, but Jack smiled and put down his controller before raising his hands and wiggling his fingers at Legoshi.
“Oh you were, hm? Looking forward to what exactly? To this?” Legoshi could barely turn away to the others for help, the game controller still clenched in his big hand as he spun around, but Jack already caught him from behind.
“Tickle punishmeeeent!” Jack said merrily.
“So eh, shall we play another game?” Miguno suggested to the others who were watching how Legoshi could jumped on.
“Good idea.” Voss accepted the challenge.
“W-wahahait Jahahack, can’t we tahahalk about this?” he giggled weakly, curling up as Jack wrestled him to the floor.
“What do you mean talk about it? This was your idea,” Jack reminded him smugly, and Legoshi was so set on protecting his ticklish sides and tummy that he didn’t expect Jack to suddenly start tickling his ears. He grabbed them and massaged them playfully, making Legoshi squeak at how ticklish it felt.
“Ohohoho! Not my ehehears!” he giggled. He sounded foolish, which wasn’t only his own observation; their other roommates were all laughing and chuckling.
“Guys? A hand?” Jack asked the others who weren’t playing.
“Naah,” Durham said, watching them with an amused look on his face.
“Whahahat about mehehe? Hehehelp!” Legoshi laughed.
Collot laughed as well. “No need. You two are enjoying this way too much.” Jack only now noticed his tail was wagging like crazy, and so was Jack’s.
“Nonono Jahahack that’s enaha-enough! It tihihickles too much!” Legoshi whined, struggling free from Jack’s grip so his poor tingling ears could get a break, but the moment he broke free and thought to crawl away quickly, Jack caught his ankle and pulled him back.
“Jaaaaaack-HAHAHA! Hehehehe noooo!” Legoshi’s eyes widened when he felt Jack tickle his foot this time. His friendly Labrador Retriever buddy was determined to execute this tickle punishment well, and succeeding. Legoshi laughed and giggled like crazy, but Jack tugged his feet and planted them in his lap.
“Not such a big mouth now, hmm?” he teased, scribbling like crazy all over Legoshi’s socked soles.
“HEHEHEH SAAHa-sooorrehehhee!” It was kind of funny. Normally Legoshi would’ve been the last person with a big mouth and cocky attitude. He was modest, everyone at school knew. But not with the 701 Canines, and definitely not during their weekly game nights.
No matter which game, Legoshi would admit quite honestly yet modestly that he was good at them. He was a frequent winner, and if not, a finalist, with any racing game, fighting game, or other strategic challenges.
“Ihihisn’t thihiis enahaha-enough p-pahaha-punishment yehehhet?!” Legoshi cackled. Jack laughed along.
“Is it? Hmm, I don’t think so. I won the game, so my rules,” he said cheerfully. Right, and Jack was good at these games too. He was very good competition, so good that today, Legoshi dug his own ticklish grave by throwing in the tickle punishment deal.
Actually it was only a deserving penalty for himself. A lesson to be learned: never get too cocky, and also to never let his guard down during the games.
“I won,” Legoshi could vaguely hear Voss say. His reactions were always calm and cute, not excited at all even though he was happy.
“Congratulations,” was the others’ dry response. Legoshi would have laughed at this whole situation with everyone acting like nothing was happening, but yeah, he was already laughing.
“HAhahaha-guhuhuuuys! AHAHAah!” Legoshi howled. Finally kicking his feet free from Jack the Tickle Retriever didn’t do it either - he merely jumped after him and this time caught him where Legoshi was trying to cover up earlier; his sensitive torso.
“Let’s go to bed.” The others turned off the game console and TV and all went to brush their teeth and prepare for bed. All while Legoshi and Jack were still caught up in this tickly struggle on the floor, with only one victim this time, and his laughter could be heard clearly around and across the room.
“NAHhahah! Wahahait noooo!” Legoshi tried to roll away, but Jack chased after him. They barely noticed when the others headed for their beds, curtains closing as the guys chirped “night~”. Both were completely caught up in the tickle punishment game, both their tails still wagging with joy and enthusiasm, and Legoshi’s voice was all over the place.
“Jahahahack! I gihihive!” he giggled, his stomach hurting from laughing so much. Jack was digging enthusiastically into his lower sides with wiggling fingers, smirking.
“You do? Heh. It’s funny, you really thought you were going to win hm?” Jack said. Legoshi threw his head back when his fingers hit an extra ticklish spot, and he nodded frantically.
“Yehehehes! I sahahaid I gihihiive!” he laughed.
“So, I win?”
“You ahahalreadehehe wohhoooon! Mehehercy!”
Jack finally slowed down and panted a little, quite breathless himself from the struggle. He looked satisfied.
“Are you okay?” he asked gently. Legoshi giggled and nodded.
“Yeah. I’m okay.” He simply lay back and gasped for breath. Jack did the same, ending up right next to him, and both of them stared at the ceiling.
“So, next time again?” Legoshi suggested.
Jack turned to look at him in surprise. “What?” he asked.
“Well, Friday next week: if one of us two loses to the other, there will be a tickle punishment.”
“Hey! Who knows one of us might be in the finale!” Durham’s voice sounded from behind his curtains, to which Collot on the other side hissed “Shhh!”.
“Why don’t we all go to sleep, guys,” Miguno’s voice said.
“You’re telling us?” Durham said back, and they all started laughing. Legoshi and Jack, still on the floor laughed as well.
“Sure thing! Next week, totally gonna tickle you to death again,” Jack said, poking Legoshi’s side.
“Hehe oh yeah? Just be careful it isn’t going to be you, because I know you can’t handle it,” Legoshi teased back, poking Jack’s side a few times with the little energy he had left to move his body. It was worth it though, Jack laughed brightly and they ended up laughing both again as they shared their silly moment of joy.
“It’s a deal,” Jack said with a smile, and to seal it, they shook hands and did a goofy fist bump.
“Good!” Legoshi let out a few more breaths and spread his arms. For a moment he embraced the silence, and even heard Durham say: “Finally, peace.” - to which Collot could be heard responding with a curious hum: “Hmmmm.”
Legoshi smirked.
“Then now it’s my turn,” he suddenly said, having recovered plenty, and Jack let out a surprised cry when Legoshi turned around and pounced on him.
Collot’s chuckle could be heard from behind his curtain. “See? I saw this coming,” he laughed.
“I dihiihhidn’t! No fahahahaaair Legohohoshi!” Jack barked, trying to crawl away on hands and knees, but Legoshi caught him and pulled him back so he could weck his sides and tummy.
“Of course it’s fair. Our game night tickle deal says nothing about not tickling each other any other time. So what about it? Are you ready for my revenge?” Legoshi asked, and together with Jack, the other roommates also whined “noooo” as they braced for the noise that was about to fill the room again and keep them awake.
“Heeeeehehehee!” Yup, Jack’s laughter was the last sound they all were going to hear before their night’s rest, and it was the way to end a fun and successful game night.
