#beauty and the beast
She awoke suddenly.
She realized she was all alone in the silent house. Her heart raced as she remembered she was supposed to…remember something. But what? She stood up from the only chair in the room and stepped into the hallway. It was scary and creepy in the house, and she knew she was supposed to have goosebumps running up her skin. But somehow…all was right in the world.
The voices in the back of her head told her she should be scared; it was night time, and only a moonbeam illuminated the house. She was all alone, miles from anywhere…and there was something. Something there. She could feel it.
Something that would set curious eyes running away screaming, but she, instead stepped into the moonbeam. There was something she was supposed to remember, but she couldn’t. She picked at the hem of her dress. It was a lovely dress, but she was very sure she’d never seen it before.
The scared voices came back to her, whispering urgently in the back of her mind. “You’re not alone. He’s here! The beast is upstairs!”
And then she remembered.
“I know,” she replied in her own head looking up at the light. “I’ll be right up, Sir.”

I’ve played with so many Rococo paintings and done so many Rococo Belles over the year, but it’s actually the first time I’m putting her in the most famous Rococo portrait of them all. Maybe because it’s been done and redone ! But I wanted to do my own version after all. Complete with her very own pooch of course

Here’s my tribute illustration for my favorite’s movie 30th anniversary ! For the occasion I wanted to draw the outfits of the 30th anniversary collector dolls, which I found really beautiful. Like, REALLY really beautiful ❤️ I love seeing Belle in a ballgown that matches the colors she wears throughout most of the movie.
