An exploratory piece of Power Rangers Fan Art depicting Billy Cranston, the original Blue Power Ranger from the 90’s Saturday Morning TV show. Following a similar process I did for the Trini image a while ago, with a dynamic Triceratops Zord in the background. I’ll admit it’s got some issues, like the Zord, but we all make mistake to learn from. Enjoy!

Every other week, a big group of autistic adults come in with a few helpers
They’re always very nice and soft spoken - the ideal customers really
Today they were finally seeing Power Rangers. I got so excited for them that I switched from ticket sales to cleaning crew so I could ask them about it when they got out
And let me tell you
They LOVED it. It was like a complete 180, these timid people I always see were running around, comparing Rangers (“BILLY is AWESOME!”), and they were just so excited it was adorable. They gave all the crew members high fives and talked about seeing it again (they never see the same movie twice).
Here’s how I’d envision it. Featuring the Mystic Knights of Tir Na Nog.
- King Trey of Triforia has the Planet Triforia invaded and his two other selves kidnapped by Thrax and Rito Revolto under orders by a revived Master Vile. Jason and Billy elect to take on the mission because of their past involvement with the Zeo Gold Ranger powers.
- Aware that humans can only take using the Gold Ranger powers for a short period of time compared to Triforians, Billy has the powers split into three ways. The Gold Powers of Power, Wisdom, and Courage. Spliting the powers should help lower the strain on their bodies. However, Billy still has problems transforming into the Gold Ranger like before, much to the chagrin of Trey and Jason.
- The three Gold Rangers use the Morphin Grid to find the missing aspects of Trey, only to find out that Thrax and Rito ended up going to the past, during medieval times. Their present timeline changes to a post-apocalyptic one, which makes them contact Time Force to send them back in time.
- They end up in the world of the Knights of Tir Na Nog and they get into a bit of a scuffle with them as Red Ranger, Blue Ranger, and Gold Ranger before they figure out that their true enemy is Thrax, Revolto, and Vile plus the invading force of DoroDoros.
- With the help of the Mystic Knights, the rangers find the kidnapped Treys, but they’ve been turned into twin Black Knights by Master Vile.
- The Mystic Knights are then overrun by the DoroDoros and the Black Knights, making them easy pickings for Thrax and Revolto. The Gold Ranger only has a third of his power, so he gets beaten by Vile, although he does get saved by Red and Blue Rangers. They then get thrashed by the combined forces of Thrax, Revolto, and Vile.
- Jason encourages Billy, saying it’s his insecurity that keeping him from transforming, which soon allows him to find a way to change to Gold Ranger in the nick of time. Trey has the best use of Gold Ranger powers in terms of brute strength, Jason uses his courage to take big risks with the powers to score big rewards, and Billy’s Gold Ranger is the most tactical of them all.
- The Mystic Knights defeat the Black Knights and the DoroDoros while the Gold Rangers defeat Thrax and Revolto. Master Vile strains the powers of the Gold Ranger enough to make the human ones succumb and de-transform, but the rest of Trey’s selves merged into him, allowing him to use the full powers of the Gold Ranger to drive back Vile.
- The rangers thank the Mystic Knights then depart back into their own time, with knowledge that they can now safely borrow the Gold Ranger powers as humans.
