The Phantom suit was one of the most honest tights. There’s only Billy Zane’s muscle with no muscle suit under the tights so that you can see the actor’s nipples and even his skin color through the suit. Billy Zane’s body as The Phantom was perfect.
Dead Clam stars Sam Eel, Nicole Squidman, Krilly Zane, and the ocean.
For some reason I always thought this was a remake of Knife in the Water (1962) - it’s not! They’re both tense boat movies with 3 characters.
I love boat movies!! Boats are stressful! I love being stressed out!
The soundtrack features rompler pan flute, Latin chorus vocals, and intense breathing sounds. I enjoyed all the sounds.
It was nice to hear both Sam Neill and Nicole Kidman speaking with their natural accents rather than pretending to be American. It was also nice to see Nicole Kidman’s natural big hair.
Billy Zane is somehow perpetually sweaty despite being shirtless for most of the movie. He really looks like Marlon Brando in this. His character also has terrible taste in music. Get OUTTA here Billy!!
Excellent fashion, not including Billy’s shorts.
Clam Neill grunting is good.
Hot-wiring a boat seems impressive.
This is clearly the superior Billy Zane boat movie, it’s much better than Titanic(1997).
Squelch Knob is my new grunge band. We’re playing with Drainage at The Goat Pit on Friday. Come to the show.
After watching this I learned that Nicole Kidman was only 19 when she filmed this and Sam Neill was 39! WHAT?! She’s a very good actor!
“I accelerate down a road I have not yet traversed. I travel beyond the red blocks of a home I cannot again call my home. In search of the father of my holy child. The man who sings on the cassette tape. “
It’s been 84 years, and I can still smell the fresh paint. The china had never been used. The sheets had never been slept in. Titanic was called the Ship of Dreams, and it was. It really was.
