Not really that spoilery for Book of Boba Fett, but for God sake if you really care about spoilers just close all social media today. I beg you! Everyone will be wanting to discuss I’m sure.
Like anyone else I have things I dislike about this show. Pacing, character direction choices, some cringe moments that could easily have been cut, etc.
BUT, I am so happy to have new content of this era in Star Wars period. I just mentally throw away what I don’t like and headcanon the rest to flesh it out better. It doesn’t bother me if it’s not perfectly crafted to my own tastes. Nothing ever will be.
But that being said, in my Fett fangirl heart I think my favorite crumb of this new episode was when [spoiler character]told[spoiler character] that all Boba was was a cold blooded killer who’d worked for the Empire. I don’t see anyone commenting on this yet.
I want that conflict of new life/old life addressed more. I am totally fine with Boba getting his near death experience and time with the Tuskens and deciding to try a new path forward. One of leadership and found family, instead of the lone gun for hire any longer. Because he knows the dead end that that was for him now. But I still want his old life to fight back. You can’t just walk away from infamy like that without repercussion.
So I really loved this, hoping it foreshadows [spoiler character] confronting Boba on who he really is/was and some kind of showdown between them.
That is on my wishlist for the finale. And now I’ve got seven days to try and manifest. ❤️❤️ *cue Ennio Morricone’s Ecstasy of Gold theme*
