“Brb,” “Sorry I’m Not Sorry,” “Real AF,” and “ Basic.” A few of the little 4 in sq Contemporary Perspective pieces that will be for sale at the Gift Forest starting Dec. 1st! Embroidery floss and acrylic paint on canvas!
Guys remember last year when I was making that set of ‘contemporary perspectives’ pieces that were all cream- colored cursive phrases and words kids use these days? Well I decided I’d start making them for sale on 4" sq canvases. Been making some this week for the upcoming Gift Forest Christmas fair and plan on making them indefinitely. They are consistent with my obsession with all things temporary and transient, language, communication, and they’re just plain silly and fun. They are both hilarious and also reflect the greater truths that are often manifested in small things with life cycles (in this case, trendy phrases). Anyway, they allow me to indulge my silly self. I promise I’m not always a serious person ha.

Working on some super fun handmade paper collages for the Gift Forest Christmas fair this year - this piece is around 7 x 6.5 inches without the border and is titled “Nothing Rhymes With Orange” plan on making one or two more with this scheme! I love it!!
Here I am in my princess dress working on an organic assemblage piece that I have actually finished now, “Summer Harvest”. Stephen Muskie, a local photographer in town, is working on a series of portraits of artists in their studios. He asked if he could take some photos of me working and I said “of course!” - it’s not often ones gets action shots taken in the studio
