As Bronk and Peter approached the flock of geese, they were greeted with a chorus of honks and hollering. The lead goose banked towards them, cutting easily through the high winds that Peter dared not attempt alone. “Oi there friend!” The lead goose cried, piercing the air. “Looking for a flock to join? Ain’t too many of us, but the winds are still that much easier to–” The goose did a double-take, nearly wing-slapping his rear compatriot. “Bronk!? Is that you, brother?!” Bronk laughed, and all the other geese joined in as they moved closer. Peter quickly saw that their family colors matched those of his friend’s–rich maroon; brilliant orange. Well, all except the rakish red of their business gear. “You always were the perceptive one, Tronk!” Bronk hollered back. Tronk ululated with delight. “Well I’ll be plucked! I thought you’d given up migration, what with the songbird business plans!” “Oh, they’re going strong–cargo is a booming field back in the mountains of Remex! In fact, let me introduce you to the genius who came up with the idea…” — Old friends, new joys New songs in an old voice Black ink, color bright Tales by day and songs by night–
Oh, come with me to those Remex places, And hear the myths of her feathered races.

I know i have a terminal case of “can’t leave well enough alone” -itis and also “throw some loosely reffed tarot imagery” on it disease but i do feel!!! Good about how this turned out in the end haha. Mixed media is so fun.
What an interesting day I had, filled with more emotions than I could possibly explain. By the end of it all I can think is “If you don’t have friends as good as mine, you are missing out.” They add so much magic and love to my life and I am left feeling so so so thankful. #artistmama #emotions #artjournal #artjournalling #graytoned #saltyarmy #queensalty #mixedmedia #processart https://www.instagram.com/p/B7xC8uBBjhe/?igshid=1lhiigdh3nfdr
Me “Got a lot done and have a minute I’ll start a new journal page. The baby is sleeping, let’s see what I can do.” The Baby “YOU HAVE NEVER HELD ME IN YPUR WHOLE LIFE AND I AM SAD AND FRIGHTENED AND NEED TO BE ATTACHED TO YOU.” One thing I like about #mixedmedia is the ability to throw some layers down and then walk away. Perfect for this #artistmother and what I love to do. #artistmama #artjournal #journal #astart #art #baby #sevenmonths https://www.instagram.com/p/B7wJl9-BbQK/?igshid=1ex2v10yf53lp
When my son was young and in the thick of his #hlhs surgeries, I drew and painted a lot of hearts. Now that my dad is fighting #glioblastoma I’m probably gonna be perfecting my brain drawings.
