Five Years - Final Chapter (Coming Soon)

Chapter 12 (Preview)

Betty stood off to the side of the porch, shivering as she watched the crime scene techs and federal agents flooding the old farmhouse.

The images of Svenson’s murder were still playing behind her eyelids every time she closed them and she just wanted to get as far from this place as possible, never to see it again.

She honestly hoped someone would just do the world a favor and burn it to ash. Too much misery and horror happened at this place, monstrosities that would stick with her forever.

The whole scene reminded her too much of the day the feds had swarmed her house in Greendale - the one place that was supposed to be her safe haven - because those psychos defiled it.

She let out a staggering breath, closing her eyes tightly and silently praying that this would all be over when she opened them again.

Unfortunately, she knew that was wishful thinking on her part. There was only one way to finish this and she knew she had to be ready to see this through to the end, no matter what. She had lived in fear long enough, running wasn’t going to be an option anymore.

“You okay, Betts?”

Coming Soon To AO3

Y'all, it only took me a year and three months to get this chapter completed and in the finishing stages but it’s finally almost done and will be posted within the week! I hate that it took so long but I lost my mojo for a bit (getting cancer can do that to you) but I’m glad that the conclusion is finally happening. I hope you guys enjoy it!

Dark Shadows: Chapter 11

Chapter 11:

Jughead’s head was already pounding as he made his way through the packed club to Betty’s regular section.

After their discussion earlier in the week, Jughead realized just how much the distance between him and Betty was starting to take a toll on both of them. Her suspicions coupled with his guilt caused him to skip his most recent feeding session so he was a bit on edge, which did not help matters much.

He’d even spent the last few days dodging Sweet Pea’s calls, not wanting to deal with his bullshit on top of everything else.

As he sat in his usual spot, Jughead looked around the club that was packed to the gills with humans and vamps, all dressed up for the annual Halloween bash. He tried to get her attention a few times, hoping to find a moment to sneak Betty off to explain his strange behavior but every time he tried, she’d say she had to run drinks and tell him they could talk on her break.

So, he waited, watching her flutter around the room in the naughty nurse’s outfit that all the waitresses seemed to be wearing tonight. The moment he saw her in it, he almost ripped the article off her body and taken her right there in their living room.

He smiled as he watched her walking up to the bar in her bright red heels, chatting with another waitress while waiting for her drinks. He was just about to call her over again when he felt it, a groan escaping his lips.

Daisy…

stonerbughead:

the show might end but fandom and fic is forever ❤️

To all my fellow bugheads:

I will always love the people whom I have met and bonded with in this fandom.

So, as long as the people demand it, I shall write bughead fics.

And as long as they are written, I shall read, comment, give kudos, and repost other bughead writer’s fics.

Cause let’s be real, in our fandom, our fanfiction writers have shown to be more creative and give us more cohesive stories than the actual writer’s did.

Love you guys

A few hours later, they were sitting for dinner when Joaquin started making idol small talk.

“So, Betty. I didn’t know you were a Serpent. I definitely would remember seeing you around.”

“Oh, I’m not. What would make you say that I am?”

“With that giant snake on your thigh, I just figured that must be the case,“ Joaquin said, taking a bite of his pizza.

“Oh. Right. Nope. Not a Serpent. I woke up on my eighteenth birthday with this giant green monstrosity and I’ve been trying to figure it out ever since.”

Chapter One out now

This is incredible! I’m so excited for the next chapters!

Middle, Beginning, End

A Detective Jones and Agent Cooper AU

Chapter 1: The Middle

Jughead’s spiraling out of control, and Betty’s the only one who can help.

Please be warned, dark themes.

I am almost done with Chapter 2: The Beginning, and I’m happier with it than I expected!

Here’s a little spoiler…

“Nice of you to finally join me this morning,” she says annoyingly, working on the white board in front of her, her back still turned to him. She has her long blonde hair pulled into a low bun today, and he finds himself frowning at the dumb suit she’s wearing.

Sure, she’s fucking gorgeous, but he can hardly see past his hate for her to care.

Annoyed, he sits down at the table and begins going through the files she’s already laid out.

Chapter Two

Betty then dropped her knees and arms, so her chin was grazing the mat. She paused there for a minute, trying not to lose count of her breathing. She dropped into cobra before pushing herself back up, in one fell swoop, again into downward dog.

She stayed there longer this time, simply listening to the world around her while her eyes closed. As she opened them, ready to lunge herself forward, a little ginger cat ran between her arms and legs, startling her.

Before she could get herself upright, a small white and tan puppy came bounding behind the cat. The next thing Betty knew, she was turned over, flat on her back with more weight on her than she knew what to do with.

“Oh my God! I’m so sorry! Are you–?”

When she opened her eyes, she was met with a pair of the most beautiful blue eyes she’s ever seen. She blinked up at this mysterious man, her jaw slack.

“Beautiful,” Betty thought she heard him breathe out before catching himself, finally clambering to his feet and offering his hand to help her up.

A Riverdale AU multichapter with grit and perseverance.

Summary: Jughead Jones was having a terrible week. His breakup with former co-star Trula Twyst was plastered all over the internet and all he wanted to do was hide. With a swift kick in the ass from his twin sister, JB Jones, Jughead sets off to find some enjoyment for himself.

What he doesn’t expect is to run into a girl at the park. He doesn’t expect the connection they forge. And he certainly doesn’t expect where life takes them.

——

This is a 20 part angstfest with a happy ending, folx. The first chapter of this will be a preface. Please read it carefully. It contains potential triggers that will be discussed or mentioned in those 20 chapters.

Read our Preface here.

——

The plan is to post every Tuesday and Friday until it’s all out there. We will try our best to stick to this schedule, but we all know that shit happens, amiright?

—–

Now, a little background. @mieteve-minijoma approched me TWO years ago with this idea. And how could I say no to my soul sister, right? This fic is two years and A LOT of personal reasons delayed. But we finally made it and she’s ready to see the light of day.

After reading the preface, if you’re still on board, we are happy to have you on this journey to self-discovery and love. If you decide it’s too much, we completely understand, we know this much angst and triggering material isn’t for everyone.

@likemereckless you are making me smile so hard with your chapter comments on Murder He Wrote. Seriously, thank you. I needed the smiles this week.

I want to shout out @stonerbughead. I’ve been on the tail end of a bad few weeks and her comments on Testify made my heart so incredibly happy. They are like a big, warm hug. Thank you for your well thought out, amazing comments, Maria. I am so grateful for you! ❤❤❤

Chapter Update

“I promise you will be very interested in what Cheryl has to say.” Betty navigated up the winding driveway of Thorn Hill, throwing the car in park in the circular driveway.

“I still don’t see why this couldn’t wait until a normal hour. It isn’t even dawn yet. You just got home from work.” Betty gave him a pointed look. “Okay, fine,” he sighed. “But there better be breakfast.”

Chapter Nineteen & Twenty

Jughead grinned as he attached the photograph to his post - one much similar to the one he tweeted when he first got Flapjack. This time though it was one of him holding the much bigger, adorable pup, with the ring still tied to his collar.

Betty learned after the fact that Jughead had taken the picture before their date and she had somehow missed it in all the commotion to leave.

“I can’t believe I didn’t notice the ring around his neck,” Betty laughed as she gazed at the twisted, white gold metal on her left ring finger. She hadn’t stopped staring at it since the night before when Jughead slipped it on her finger and asked her to be his wife.

Never in her wildest dreams did she think she would have this life, that she deserved this life. But here she was being shown every damn day that, not only did she deserve it, but she earned it.

Chapter Seventeen & Eighteen

By:@bluevelvetvideoand@mieteve-minijoma

“Jug?” Betty called out, but there was no answer. She saw a shadow behind the curtain next to her bed. Her voice trembled as she asked, “Who’s there?”

She heard a slight eerie chuckle before a soft melody landed in her ears. “…and if that diamond ring turns brass, Mama’s gonna buy you a looking glass. And if that looking glass gets broke…”

Betty’s heart plummeted into the pit of her stomach as she heard that all too familiar voice. She clambered to get out of her bed, tearing the IV and heart monitor from her body before almost falling out of the bed to pull back the curtain. She knew that song. She’d know it anywhere. It haunted her and she promised herself she’d never sing it to her children.

“…And if that winter cloak’s too cold, Mama’s gonna buy you a pile of gold. And if that gold was stolen, too, Mama’s gonna go to jail for you…”

Betty’s eyes widened in panic, her heart was racing and pounding against her ribs, her breath constricting. No. No, there was no possible way. How did they find her? How did they get here so quickly?

“There’s one more thing, the whole reason she called in the first place,” Jughead said finally as he helped her with the dishes. The tone in his voice had Betty swallowing around nothing, bracing herself for bad news.

“I– uh, I actually left work and didn’t say anything to anyone. So, unfortunately, I have to go back to the city to finish filming. Production has done all they can without me there and I need to get back to the city or I’ll lose the deal.”

“Oh,” she said as she idly dried the dishes. “So you need to leave…”

“It’s only a few weeks,” he explained as he watched her walk over to the fridge, hoping she might agree to his next question. “And I was thinking… what if you came with me?”

Chapter Thirteen & Fourteen

By:@bluevelvetvideoand@mieteve-minijoma

Betty was having the strangest dream. She was in a beautiful field of poppies, her hair loose and blowing in the wind - as was the beautiful black gossamer dress she wore. She looked around the field of flowers, searching for Jughead. She could hear his voice in the wind but she couldn’t see him anywhere.

Just please, baby. Please wake up.

Betty opened her eyes slowly to reveal that she was still in her hospital room, hooked to the monitors that kept an eye on her daughters’ heartbeats to make sure they were strong.

Wow, I could have sworn I was discharged but I guess it was all a dream. I really wish Jughead was actually here though…Wait…
