Kirstie van Noort’s interestingly textured and meticulously pigmented ceramic creations is part of an inspiring process of seeing design as a means to communicate the story behind a material. She has traveled multiple times to research the influences of different industries over landscapes and their unique colors. Through her detailed tests and experiments, she has come up with thoughtful concepts that illustrate the importance of understanding where certain products come from. http://kirstievannoort.nl/

Bath School of Art and Design graduate Emma Buckley has coloured a range of decorative ceramic tableware by letting dye seep up through gaps in the glazing (+ slideshow). The designer developed the colouring method during her degree in 3D design at Bath School of Art and Design, while searching for new applications for the bright colours used in fabric production. http://www.dezeen.com/2015/08/15/emma-buckley-dye-lines-vessels-tableware-absorb-colour-through-tiny-glazing-hole-graduate-shows-2015/

Soap Glazed One-of-a-Kind vessels

Studio ODDNESS is a collaboration between Thomas van der Sman and Adrianus Kundert. Handmade in their studio in Eindhoven, their first collection, Bubblegraphy is a series of ceramic vases. Each object is carefully crafted and finished with a soap glaze that creates a unique pattern and creative colors. The two artists combine craftsmanship and aesthetics, to design products that explore volume, shape and material.
