Bath School of Art and Design graduate Emma Buckley has coloured a range of decorative ceramic tableware by letting dye seep up through gaps in the glazing (+ slideshow). In a 3D printing world, there is a need for a quick tool that can reduce an STL file size. The desired effect could be either a significant change to a low poly look, even art, or no change to the shape of the model at all. Let’s see what options are available online and feature some of the free software and applications.

This project was my final one in my 3D design class last semester. We went to a thrift store as a class and picked out shoes we would fully recreate with tape only. This process took lots of planning and directing of each shoe part. Shockingly, my finished shoe ended up being of similar weight to the original!

Wooden spoon carving project from my sculpture class that I added some decal wood burning to. I’m happy with how the final product turned out since I actually had to take get three stitches from an accidentally cutting myself with the sharp carving knife. I don’t know if I’ll be carving spoons again for a while because of that incident :)
It just occurred to me that I hadn’t posted photos of a few projects I did last semester so here’s one of them!
