Introduction
Hey! I’m Matt. Last year I started this fantasy/adventure art prompt, I only expected a few people to partake (mainly mutual art pals) but was surprised to see hundreds of people taking part, artists of varying styles and ages, interpreting this prompt in their own way with different characters and environments - I was honored to see so many people enjoying their fictional travels.So, It’s been a year since #AdventureApril was posted - now comes #MisadventureMay another loose narrative adventure art prompt, it’s up to you to create your characters, their backstories along with the world they inhabit!!
For me, This adventure is set 400+ years in the future, my character is traveling out of their home kingdom for the first time, they come across new fauna n’ flora (some fauna drop loot n’ flora have magical properties you can store n’ use later) you meet new characters and travel to new kingdoms!! - Of course, my adventure wouldn’t be as fun without a friend to share my travels with so like last year I have a companion to adventure with!!
Does your adventure take place in the same universe as the last prompt? or Is it an entirely new universe? All these aspects are for you and you only to figure out!!

Prompt Guidelines
By the end of #MisadventureMay you should have a collection of 31 drawings that reflects each prompt theme by day.You should start posting your work on the 30th of April through to the 31th of May.
The goal of this prompt is to create an imaginary world, from its environment to its characters.
You can use any medium, any style, there is no wrong way to participate!!
You can present your prompt pieces, however - quickly sketches, full-page illustrations, pin designs, sticker designs, etc. Do whatever you like, this is a challenge that should hopefully allow you to explore your creative process, have fun with it!!
Don’t panic if you fall behind or start late. There’s no rush, post when you can!!

Nyx: Endless Night
Night….wife of Darkness and mother to many curses upon man. Yet she is mother by nature as her sister, Gaia. Too often do the two compete in trying to create something better, something grander than the other. While Gaia succeeds in creating monsters bigger and more powerful in size and stature, Nyx creates more subtle powers. From her comes death, Thanatos is little to look at yet a power that even gods fear lingers at his fingertips. From her comes deities small yet on a whim able to turn the tide of the history of man.
Nyx is frightening in her power. In appearing aloof and unfeeling, yet- and yet….. Yet Nyx weeps when her children scorn her. Rages when they are hurt. And tender when they come to her for side. For she is the natural state of the universe, if not for the sun and the day the entire world would be her domain. So do not fear the night, fear the children of Gaia that stalk there.
