Introduction

Hey! I’m Matt. Last year I started this fantasy/adventure art prompt, I only expected a few people to partake (mainly mutual art pals) but was surprised to see hundreds of people taking part, artists of varying styles and ages, interpreting this prompt in their own way with different characters and environments - I was honored to see so many people enjoying their fictional travels.

So, It’s been a year since #AdventureApril was posted - now comes #MisadventureMay another loose narrative adventure art prompt, it’s up to you to create your characters, their backstories along with the world they inhabit!!

For me, This adventure is set 400+ years in the future, my character is traveling out of their home kingdom for the first time, they come across new fauna n’ flora (some fauna drop loot n’ flora have magical properties you can store n’ use later) you meet new characters and travel to new kingdoms!! - Of course, my adventure wouldn’t be as fun without a friend to share my travels with so like last year I have a companion to adventure with!!

Does your adventure take place in the same universe as the last prompt? or Is it an entirely new universe? All these aspects are for you and you only to figure out!!

Share with your art friends n’ have an adventure!!

Updates & Questions

Last year I set up a Discord Channel for the prompt so feel free to join and chat with other participants!!

If you have any questions, shoot me a message on here,Twitter or over on the Discord, I’m happy to lend a hand if anyone needs help!!

writing prompt n°9

An American soldier is stationed near Nazi Germany, but faces a dilemma when he begins to fall in love with a young woman who comes from a family in the upper rankings of the Nazi party. He has two choices: leave her and continue fighting the war, or persuade her to abandon the Nazis.

Anonymous asked: “How do you have interaction without a 20 page mountain of dialogue? All my stories seem to just be talking and talking and I’m not sure how to even write dialogue.”

There were some things that I didn’t really learn about fiction until I began to try to write in other mediums. I didn’t learn how to write a scene until I started trying to learn screenwriting.
