I studiously ignored anything and everything MDZS that crossed my dash for the past two-plus years – and then proceeded to undo it all this year by blazing through the damn Grandmaster of Demonic Cultivation book, and then chasing it down with an unholy The Untamed marathon. – And then, during a temporary sleep-deprived lapse of good sense, decided that (1) I haven’t done any smoke portraits in ages, and (2) oh hey, Wei Wuxian would be a perfectsubject for one such painting on account of how he’s shrouded in smoke every time he puts his flute to use anyway, and damn my bleary eyes. Go me.

It’s been a while since I posted my paintings across here, but I read MDZS at the end of last year, just binged ‘The Untamed’ in two weeks and…here we are.
