Today anyone can grab one of the remaining prompts at the comm. So if you missed the last two claiming rounds or even missed the chance to sign up, today is an open day for any and all to join the fun.
If you’ve already grabbed one prompt, you can claim a second. If you have two and think you can pull off a third, today’s the day to go for it!

We’ve received a few emails, comments and messages here and on Tumblr from folks who missed the claims deadline. So we have decided to give people one last shot at a happy ending and offer the fandom a Valentine as the show ends. Who are we to stand in the way of something that’s meant to be? We will offer a 24 hour claim day for anyoneinterested in participating in this round, even if you didn’t sign up for the challnege. That means any and all are welcome to put in a claim for one of the remaining prompts. For those that have already claimed the maximum of two prompts and you think you could handle a third (but please be very sure you can handle it), you are also welcome to grab another and, of course, those who claimed one prompt are also welcome to grab a second. Open claim day will startr on Sunday, October 20th at 9 am EST. Hereis a clock to help you count down the hours. Prompts can be found hereandhere(if they have only been claimed for one medium, they will be marked accordingly; those struck through have been claimed for both). Info on how to claim can be found here. Please familiarise yourself with it. Bring on that Happy Ending! You know it’s meant to be!

Claims Summaries Are Up!
This year, we’ve got a lot of new prompts, and we’ve also brought back some fun ones from challenges past that we thought deserved another chance at a happy ending! You can read through the prompts on the community hereandhere, or check out our Google Doc instead, as well as find them hereandhere on Tumblr.
Remember: Sign-ups are open until midnight (11:59:59pm PST on Thursday, November 5), and claims begin at 12pm EST on Saturday, November 7.)!

After a long talk in Cluefest Headquarters, we’ve come to the decision that only fifty of you can claim a case and write a report. This also includes everyone who wants to record old cases. In other words, fifty writers and podficcers in total can claim a prompt/record a fic.We will not limit the numbers of (sketch) artists.
We might open up a late claiming period with 10-15 slots in January — if we reach the limit before that, that is — to account for potential agents going MIA.

After some internal discussions, we’ve decided to not open a late claiming period in January. We deeply appreciate everyone’s interest in the fest, but the mods can’t read fic all day long (unfortunately ) and based off of last year’s word count, we’d be buried.
