The Steel Samurai Fan Club Meetup

Okay, well, I’ve put this off for long enough. I don’t actually remember this case that well anymore, but luckily I saved some notes before accidentally abandoning this blog for a couple months. Sorry about that.

I’d rather just get on with playing the next case rather than writing up some kind of in-depth reaction to this one, so you can have my half-assed notes and some screenshots and then I’ll just get back to real playing.

Things I would have expounded upon if I wanted to put effort into this:

Phoenix

• Cody’s right. Phoenix is surprisingly insincere
• he also has pretty bad people skills
• I know some of it is due to whatever the player makes him do, but his dialogue is all his own
• what I don’t get is, if he’s so bad with people, why is he a lawyer at all?
• I haven’t been very generous to him, but he hasn’t quite earned it yet (see above)

Maya

• adorable and sassy
• and apparently an advocate of torture???

Mia

• I wonder how long they’ll keep bringing her back since it’s a little bit of a deus ex machina
• not that I want her to not come back

Dee

• why wouldn’t she admit that killing Hammer was in self-defense? Phoenix had to say it and she agreed but never stated it herself
• which came first, the threat or the mafia? did she hire protection after the “accident” five years ago or has she always had ties?
• why didn’t her “professionals” help with the murder/concealment or come into play at the trial at all?
• she was super badass though

this was a very concerning moment

Edgeworth

• so fucking anime
• tsundere beyond all reason
• I seem to remember his conversation with Phoenix after the case being gay as hell but I think I deleted my screenshots
