Book collage in ‘Regretting You’ by Colleen Hoover.

So it’s taken me 5 years to complete this series of posters (because I am lazy and get VERY EASILY DISTRACTED), and I feel weirdly emosh posting them all here together, all finished.
Dexter is still one of my fave shows ever, even though it finished years ago (and finished LIKE THAT ).
Also, my whole fan art style and obsession was hugely influenced by Ty Mattson’s designs for Dexter seasons. I loved them so much, I wanted to do something similar with books, including quotes - and that’s how my book collages were made.
You can check out his EXCELLENT Dexter posters here. (He also does lots of other cool stuff)
But anyway. That was a fun run. Onto new projects!

technically not a painting, i mostly just photoshopped her face onto my body (a little snatched) and then played with the lighting. i think lucasbavid on insta did the original art!

This one was inspired by my favourite Polish tv show - an iconic comedy series called Wojna Domowa. Even though it was filmed in 1965/6 and a lot of things have changed since then, the main theme of the series - the “battle” between teenagers and their parents makes it very universal and relatable even 50 years later. There are only 15 episodes and I have watched them so many times I remember the dialogues by heart - naturally I quote them on a regular basis, unfortunately very few people my age get the references. I wish the show had an English translation so that I could recommend it to you all but I can imagine that some subtle jokes or dialogues are pretty untranslatable as you need to know something about Polish history and politics of the 1960s. Still, I am such a great fan of Wojna Domowa, I decided to share this little thing on tumblr and I hope I got that Polish ‘60s vibes right.
