Hello everyone! As many of you know, I’m Miles, and I’m a college student! I’m making this post to let you know that if you like my style, and you have a character you want sketched:

I’m opening up my sketch commissions, and as per the graphic above, here are my prices:
black and white headshot: $6 USD (or 2 ko-fis)
colored headshot: $9 USD (or 3 ko-fis)
black and white half body: $12 USD (or 4 ko-fis)
colored half body: $15 USD (or 5 ko-fis)
At the moment I have three payment methods available:
I can draw OCs belonging to you or I, fanart of established characters, you or a loved one, you name it! The OCs don’t have to be human, I can work with monsters, aliens, robots, anthros, etc.
I will not draw anything expressing a hateful or offensive ideology (no TERF shit, no racist/antisemitic/homophobic/transphobic caricatures, etc) and I cannot draw in a hyperrealistic style - what you see is what you get and what you see here is my semi-cartoonish style. :P
I would appreciate a ref for commissions of yourself or your OCs! If you do not have one (say, you’ve never made or acquired art of your OC but still want me to draw them) then I will accept a description in its stead. Ref of established characters is appreciated but less important to give because I could google them.

I can only accept payment through Venmo! I ask that the price is paid in full up front. I cannot offer refunds, so if I get something wrong in your commission, I’ll try my best to redraw it– I’ll also try my best to send progress updates as I draw. Your commission might look a little different than what’s above, since I’m still working on solidifying my art style!
You’re allowed to use the piece I draw for you freely, as long as you credit me somewhere!
I reserve the right to refuse a commission, whether it’s something I won’t draw or not.
Don’t claim that you’re the one who drew it! I’m utterly terrified of art theft, so doing commissions is a big step for me. Please treat my wishes with respect!
Please don’t debate my pricing! I’m okay with discussing, but if you try to forcefully make me lower the price or do the commission for exposure, I will refuse to do a commission for you.

How it Works: · When you contact me, please have your references and ideas ready for me. I like to get excited about my pieces, so don’t be afraid to tell me how cool your character is! · I will work out a quick sketch for your approval. Once that is approved, payment must be made via PAYPAL. Once the payment gets cleared I will start working on a proper sketch for color and lineart.
RULES: · DO NOT CLAIM THE ART AS YOUR OWN · DO NOT RESELL THE ART · DO NOT USE FOR COMMERCIAL PURPOSES [unless we have talked about this]
Extras: I wont charge for simple backgrounds. But for complex backgrounds, e.g. flowers surrounding the character, I’ll have to charge extra for that. Additional characters will be charged extra as well. We can discuss about the additional charges.
Payment / Refunds: I accept payment through Paypal(USD or Php), and will request you give me the email associated with your account. I begin work immediately after the payment is processed.
Finished products are final. If you need to cancel at any point prior to delivery of the final piece, I will give partial refund and you may receive the lineart or sketch I have so far. I want you to enjoy your piece, so if I have made a grievous error, e.g: Your character has a goatee and I gave him a hideous mustache, please let me know.
Delivery: Once your piece is done, I will email you the true size image and may post it on my tumblr and/or fb page. It’s all yours! Feel free to post it on your own blog, use it as a background, or print it out, draw mustaches on it and use it as a dartboard. Please link or tag me in the post to let people know where you got your piece from.

It would be a classic single character/two characters/comic pages and I’m also considering adding animations this time, lemme know what do you think!
Okay so we got it all figured out. Wise is a really good addition but as a complementary with paypal, but it actually looks really promising and I’m very optimistic about it this time
For you it’s gonna stay the same, standard paypal invoice, It’s the most convienient for everyone I think ;)
Attention non-artists who commission artists: don’t fuckin do this???
Actually had someone do this to me too. Was doing a art stream, it took me over 2 hours to do his inked commission, he got a refund cause ‘it took too long’ that he figured I wasn’t going to do it after I gave him the file.

I’ve had this happen to me with a $350 comic :/ I had already finished it, it was full color, 6 panels and had a full bg in every panel. I was lucky in that I didn’t spend him money yet, but it left me without funds. I’ve also had the above happen to me as well.
Don’t do this shit to artists. We’re people too. Drawing for you is more than a hobby. It’s a job.
Use Paypal Invoices.
I cannot stress this enough. That shit helps A LOT when it comes down to Paypal refunds/disputes.
There’s a description box that let’s you put in what the product is/how long it’ll take/yadda yadda, and then there’s another little memo box that only you and paypal can see where you can say it’s a digital commission and doesn’t require shipping (So Donald Mcfuck can’t say that they never got their commission).
And there’s also a box for your Terms & Conditions where you can say, if you have any conflicts/want a refund - email me, or you can actually tell the user that this is a digital commission and they won’t be getting a hard copy of it.
ARTISTS. PLEASE USE PAYPAL INVOICES. it will SAVE you. And to: the people who do this to artists – Fuck you. It’s okay if you change your mind and want a refund. But freaking TALK to us and let us know what’s going on. Let us WORK with you.
ALSO A HUGE TIP: Invoices paid will automatically set up a shipping notice which, if not fulfilled, can land you in SERIOUS hot water with PayPal. Since a lot of artists don’t print and ship the commissions, this is a huge problem.
However! Totally manageable. Just go to your PayPal, scroll down to find Seller Preferences
>> Shipping Preferences
>> Display Ship Button. Make sure all the boxes are unchecked. Then you’re all set!
As a big supporter of artists, don’t you ever fucking dare fuck over an artist like that. Like don’t. And if they take their time to do a good job, don’t shit all over them for it! Don’t be a fucking ass hole. Just don’t. These people put a LOT of work and time and effort into their artwork. Just don’t be that guy. Often times these artists aren’t even getting what they deserve in compensation.
I am very grateful my customers have been good to me, but I’m spreading the word.
