Zine Artist & Merch artist applications for à la mode: a fashion icons zine are now OPEN untilFriday 9th Oct 2020 Midnight/12am (UK TIME/GMT). Acceptance/rejection emails will be sent out on or around Mon 12th Oct.
à la modeis afashion icons zine, which aims to highlight the beauty in monumental fashion looks throughout the decades and from around the world, through various well-known icons (all genders), re-imagining them in a more modern enticing way.

Applications are now officially OPEN from now until July 7th, so if you’re a writer or artist please fill out one of the apps below to participate in our truly electric zine!!!
A quick reminder of some base points here:
We’re looking for a maximum of 15 writers and 35 artists to fill out our zine!
This is a Marvel zine, you can portray ANY Marvel charector from any Marvel franchise! That includes comics, the MCU, animated shows, anything at all! :)
This is a SFW zine; we’re rated PG-13. Please check out our guidelines for what exactly that means!
As a reminder, we DO accept a variety of different ships! But please make sure that your ship is of proper age! (IE: if you’re going to do Spideypool, needless to say, Tom Holland’s Spiderman is NOT allowed)
Once contributors have been selected:
Artists will be asked to submit one completed illustration—full color optional. Art must be CYMK. Comics ARE allowed, but if you plan on doing a comic, please keep in mind it’s first-come-first-serve. To keep our page count down, we’ll be accepting only a small number of comics.
Writers will be asked to submit one story with a maximum of 3,500 words (plus a 100-word leeway if needed).
This will hopefully be a split-profit zine, meaning that 50% of post-cost profits will go to charity, and the other 50% will be divided equally among staff and contributors, provided we have enough to do so!
Because the zine is split-profit, we ask that contributors be 18+ to apply, so as not to conflict with Paypal’s guidelines.
Writers will need to submit three fics, one must be Marvel, with a minimum word count of 500 and a maximum word count of 3,000 (with a small leeway of about a hundred words).
Artists will need to submit three pieces of fanart, one must be full color, and one must be Marvel
Cosplayers will need to submit three photos of their cosplay, one must be Marvel
We eagerly welcome zine pros, first-time ziners, and anything in-between, so please don’t hesitate to apply!
We’ve gotten a couple messages from our 15- audience looking to be contributors. After a quick discussion, we agreed that they are welcome to apply! To make up for this oversight on our part, we’ve decided to extend Contrib Apps! Thus, we have two important announcements!

If you haven’t heard of us before, we are Class 1-A centric craftbook zine! Creati’s Craft Compendium (CCC) will include fics and page art, but will foremostly be a craftbook! This means we will be looking for dedicated crafters, fic writers, and artists!
With that, here are the applications! There is more information listed under the requirements link, as well as in our original post, which can be found here!
We are looking for more Crafters and more Spot Illustrators in particular! Here are some of the Class 1-A members that have few or no craft pitches: Bakugou, Shouji, Kaminari, Kirishima, and Ojirou. So if you’re feeling inspired by any of these characters, we definitely encourage you to apply, no experience required!
