A quick reminder of some base points here:
We’re looking for a maximum of 15 writers and 35 artists to fill out our zine!
This is a Marvel zine, you can portray ANY Marvel charector from any Marvel franchise! That includes comics, the MCU, animated shows, anything at all! :)
This is a SFW zine; we’re rated PG-13. Please check out our guidelines for what exactly that means!
As a reminder, we DO accept a variety of different ships! But please make sure that your ship is of proper age! (IE: if you’re going to do Spideypool, needless to say, Tom Holland’s Spiderman is NOT allowed)
Once contributors have been selected:
Artists will be asked to submit one completed illustration—full color optional. Art must be CYMK. Comics ARE allowed, but if you plan on doing a comic, please keep in mind it’s first-come-first-serve. To keep our page count down, we’ll be accepting only a small number of comics.
Writers will be asked to submit one story with a maximum of 3,500 words (plus a 100-word leeway if needed).
This will hopefully be a split-profit zine, meaning that 50% of post-cost profits will go to charity, and the other 50% will be divided equally among staff and contributors, provided we have enough to do so!
Because the zine is split-profit, we ask that contributors be 18+ to apply, so as not to conflict with Paypal’s guidelines.
Writers will need to submit three fics, one must be Marvel, with a minimum word count of 500 and a maximum word count of 3,000 (with a small leeway of about a hundred words).
Artists will need to submit three pieces of fanart, one must be full color, and one must be Marvel
Cosplayers will need to submit three photos of their cosplay, one must be Marvel
We eagerly welcome zine pros, first-time ziners, and anything in-between, so please don’t hesitate to apply!
cross|roads Volume II: an Avatar: the Last Airbender zine is a for-charity fanzine that revolves around the idea of “new beginnings”. It will be available as a 6″x9" physical booklet and digital PDF with physical and digital merch options available for purchase.
Sports anime are my favorite, I’m happy to participate in this project with those who love sports anime as much as me!!!! My top 3 faves are Daiya no Ace, Haikyuu, and Inazuma Eleven!

I draw comics for living and get a lot of inspiration from manga and anime. Stories about adventures, friendship and finding your own strength and inspiration are my favorites!
I also work on my webcomic “Lilith’s Word”, which is a fantasy comic that includes all of the themes mentioned above. My top 3 faves are Eyeshield 21, Haikyuu, & Run with the wind! I’ve just always loved to draw! You can bring all your dreams into reality through art.

Reverie is a pdf only unofficial Blue Exorcist fanzine featuring the characters of Blue Exorcist in different AUs (alternate universes). Any AU could be in this zine!
Artists will be asked to produce one A5 sized piece featuring the characters of Blue Exorcist in an AU (alternate universe). The focus will not just be on the characters, but also the scenery around them, so I will be looking for examples of scenery in your portfolio. I will also be looking at anatomy, expression, use of colors, and composition. A Blue Exorcist piece is not required in your portfolio, but it is preferred. The minimum number of pieces that should be included in your portfolio is 3, and there is no maximum. The number of artists accepted will depend on the number of applications I receive, however there is a contributor cap of 50.
Writers will be asked to write 4 or 5 pages of a fic featuring the characters of Blue Exorcist in an AU (alternate universe). In your portfolio I will look at how you convey emotion, detail, and subject matter in a small amount of words. Good spelling and grammar is a plus but not a necessity. A Blue Exorcist piece is not required in your portfolio, but it is preferred. Please keep each portfolio piece between 500-2000 words. The minimum number of pieces that should be included in your portfolio is 2, and there is no maximum. All final files will be submitted in Google Doc format. Inability to access Google Docs will bar you from applying to this zine. The number of writers accepted will depend on the number of applications I receive, however there is a contributor cap of 50.
Beta Readers will be asked to proofread and provide feedback for our zine writers. Each beta reader will be assigned a writer. Depending on how many beta reader sign ups we receive, there might be more than one beta reader per writer. All beta readers will be compensated with a free pdf copy of the zine just like the rest of the contributors.
