There’s a new, actually new, Cotton game ⊟

All those Cotton remakes and rereleases (including Cotton Reboot which was really cool, and other ports I have yet to play) have been leading to this big news from developer Success and boutique publisher Strictly Limited:

Superlative Night Dreams: Cotton Fantasy is a brand new game in the witch/fairy cute-em-up series, coming to Switch in March 2022.

I’m not a “collector’s edition” person or, really, a “collecting figures” person, but I have to admit that the inclusion of a Cotton Nendoroid in the Strictly Limited pack is tempting! Preorders for all that open up on Nov. 13.

Vintage indie shmup rRootage leads a dang bumper crop of Switch shooter rereleases ⊟

Previously discussed ports Zombie Nation (out today!) Cotton 100%andPanorama Cotton (out tomorrow!) are all in this week’s Nintendo downloads, and I’m fairly excited about all of them!

But I didn’t know there was a port or remake of Kenta Cho’s rRootage on the way for Switch. As ABA Games, Cho has released several abstract, very cool, and usually free shooters over the last 20 years or so. You can try the original abstract boss rush game rRootage for free on PC, then if you’re into it (or if you’ve already been into it for years!) the Switch version is $5.
