#beyourself
There will always be people who have something negative to say about the way you live your life, the way you dress, how you cut your hair, why you do what you do. Happy people don’t spread negativity - just remember that and keep doing you and making yourself happy.

You’re not what your dad told you when you were 8. You’re not disappointment. You’re not supposed to be like all the other girls/boys. You’re not letting anyone down if you follow your dreams. You’re not worthless. You’re not embarrassing. You don’t have to wear makeup and dresses. You can wear makeup and dresses. You can create yourself. And I hope, I really hope that one day you’ll understand how beautiful you are. ❤️

If being an adult is being responsible for oneself, one’s needs and one’s growth, why putting so much pressure on young people to fit a stereotype of “successful adult” ? Like, why would young people conform to the archetype of someone who’s mature enough to be above conformity ? Duh. Perfomative adults are so confusing. Leave us alone, you plucked birbs. We’ blooming, maybe differently than previous generations, but we are. Don’t lose your time and your self pretending you’re someone else. Being an adult is also acknowledging that we are all different. Happiness and success are proteiform and evolutionary.
