So I tried on my Dr. Strange wig, and I feel like I destroyed it by putting it on. There’s a few things that need tweaking, like the side burns, but it’s in a good place overall. ❤️

With the wig completed, I moved on to dying the facial hair. I always dye my hair pieces like this, so I know they’re the exact color I need, which in this case is dark brown. ❤️

Yesterday was awful, so I took some time to start adding the Short Wefts in Light Grey to the temples of my Dr. Strange wig which is a Landon CLASSIC in Deep Brown from @ardawigs . It’s been a while since I’ve done any ventilating, but it came back to my pretty quickly. ❤️

So it didn’t take long to get the lining sewn to the facing, but getting the rest of the lining in has become a bit of a challenge. Now, I just need to sort out how to get the rest of the lining sewn into place. ❤️

And so it begins! I don’t think I’ve ever been stressed out so much cutting out interfacing before. SInce the fabric is a 4-way stretch fabric, I’m interfacing all the pieces before I begin the project in order to stabilize all the fabric. ❤️

I forgot to mention this earlier, but my boots finally arrived from @jdos_props ! With mailing restrictions due to COVID-19, it took a little extra time for them to arrive, but I couldn’t be happier with the way they look and how they fit. I even took them for a ‘test run’ through Target when I had some errands to run. ❤️

I started the process of modifying the pants for my Kylo Ren costumes - After marking the notes on the pants with safety pins, I took the pants apart at the knees and added the stitching across the back at the knees and the darts above the knees as well. I used a heavy duty thread to match the thread used to make the jeans. So far, I’ve gotten one pair done, and I just need to do the other pair of pants I got as backup. ❤️

So since I’m working with some more sensitive fabrics like silk for Kylo, I didn’t want to risk scorching my fabric. So I picked up a shoe for my iron. This one is made by Woolite; it’s not a perfect fit for my home iron, as it’s a little on the big side, but it fits far better than I thought it would. Hopefully, this’ll help my pressing, and my sewing, be that much better. ❤️

In this mock up, I added things like one of the shoulder pieces and the collar, and I also interfaced those pieces to get a better idea of their finished look. The collar I couldn’t be happier with, as it turned out perfectly! The arm hole still isn’t quite low enough and I’m not quite sure what went wrong with the shoulder pieces. I think I possibly put it on backwards, so I’ll try and change that. Otherwise I’ll have to be a bit more creative in how to fix that piece. ❤️
