Gypsys, Tramps & Thieves is a 1971 song by Cher. The song is about a girl who is born in a “traveling show” and lyrics center around themes of racism, prostitution, and teenage pregnancy.
David Lynch is an American filmmaker known for “Eraserhead,” “The Elephant Man” and his TV Series “Twin Peaks.” Pauline Kael (a film critic) labeled him the “First popular surrealist” in film and TV.
