Summary: Starla moves in with her sister. Things get better. Then she notices her new neighbor and not in a good way.
Based off thisprompt/idea by @caffeinewitchcraft
This one has been reworked a bit. Still the same story though, just fixed how Starla notices Duke, basically. That’s the biggest change.

“That would be a literal blessing,” her sister says, sighing into the phone with hope that pierces through the static of low reception.
“Well,” Starla sighs, hand on her hip, looking at the stacked boxes in her apartment, artfully ignoring the eviction notice laying on the kitchen counter. “I kind of don’t have a place to live past Thursday, so I don’t have much of a choice.”
“Well, you’re always welcome to come take the guest room.”
Starla rubs the bridge of her nose. “I can’t afford any rent, though.”
“You don’t need to pay rent, ” Melissa insists, words garbled by the piercing sound of a crying baby. There’s some rustling, sound muffled as she deals with the crying newborn. “You’re my sister,” she continues, voice softer as she soothes the baby, practically cooing. “It’s no problem and you’d be doing me a huge favor anyways, with the kids.”
“Okay,” Starla says, nodding to herself, like she has options and a choice. “Let’s do it.”
So she moves in.
I’ve never made one of these so I found it fitting to do one with my recent piece.
I made an original character for Riddler, her name is Peggy Boniface and she’s his therapist. I was thinking it would be quite fun to have a character that is the opposite of Harley Quinn with Riddler. This therapist is very professional and pragmatic. She appeals to Ed’s sense of reason and always plays along with his games. She has far more patience with him than anyone else he’s interacted with, even staying late to try to solve his puzzles. Ed used to mock her for being too dumb to get them but came to be mildly amused to impressed with her persistence to try to solve his games.
I think it would be funny for Riddler to fall in love with her while she’s feels pretty neutral towards him. But when it comes to confronting feelings he’d be a bit dumb at recognizing it and when he does he’s even worse at flirting. His first thought is trying whatever he did to become friends with Penguin.
the answers to those question
- He left it in his cell because he hates getting blood on his glasses
- Arkham security sucks he could leave whenever he wants he’s only stuck around because Peggy is nice
- Regular Arkham breakout, he’d usually follow every else in the riot but he’s been having a good time.
- He’d suggest burying the bitch alive but the therapist wouldn’t be happy with that response ( he could not give less of a shit about Harley or Joker)
- He sticks them to the ceiling of his prison cell in the arrangement of actual constellation, he’s only ever seen stars in books because the city has so much smog and light pollution
Prompt #260
Civilian looks down in horror. The body of Hero lies broken against a pile of rubble in the aftermath of a battle against Supervillian.
How will the city survive without their protector and figure of hope?
Clenching their jaw, Civilian gently brings the fallen Hero to a more private, dignified place. It wouldn’t do for the rest of the public to come upon this scene and lose hope.
With Hero properly laid to rest, Civilian looks down at the torn cape cradled in their hands. The city needed a new protector.

An absolute must read.
“Long before she was the terror of wonderland, the infamous Queen of Hearts, she was just a girl who wanted to fall in love.”
This novel brings readers excitement and illicit romance between two star crossed lovers.
The protagonist, Katherine, is the daughter of a noble and only wants to open a bakery to share her love of pastries with the folks of wonderland. But fate has other plans when she is suddenly told of the foolish King’s desire to marry her.
I found this novel to be painfully beautiful because as the reader we already know that she is going to marry the king. We know how the story ends. We know and yet we hope stubbornly that she will succeed in her quest to follow her dreams by opening a bakery and be with the one she loves. And when she ultimately fails we can’t be surprised; we knew this was coming.
I give this book 5 stars because I will be crying over this book ‘till the end of time.

Prompt #20
“Why don’t you accept that you’re human too ?! We all make mistakes you don’t have to torture yourself over them !”
Hero raised his voice unintentionally, with Villian not being able to react as fast as he once did. Shaking his head as he forced himself to keep going.
“Because I’m a monster, like you - and everyone else said,”
Hero felt his heart break, was he what caused this sudden decline ?
“No you’re not - I should’ve been trying to help you..not fight you - I made it worse with all of this ! You’re not a monster ! You’re just misguided and I can help you if you just let me,”
“I don’t deserve help,, from anyone”

Gorgeous
An indestructible hero falls to their knees in pain. Blood pours from a wound inflicted by villain. Hero’s confused face turns to helplessness. Villain’s eyes widen in shock that they were actually able to injure Hero.
‘What is happening? How.. Argh,’ Hero groans as they clutch their wound, the edges of their vision is growing dark.
Villain watches Hero’s face. The way their nostrils flare and their lips curl. Perfect teeth grinding against each other. 'Does it hurt Hero? Do you want me to kiss it better?’
