SUBLIME CINEMA #594 - LOST HIGHWAY

This film was mesmerizing to me when it first came out and it still is. I hadn’t seen anything really like it; the malevolence of the music and image combined into something both provocative and stirring. Individual scenes still stand out: the video cassettes, Robert Loggia’s joy ride and Robert Blake’s phantom phone call.

Will David Lynch have a new film at Cannes this year? He said it was only a rumor - but the mill is still spinning.. Hoping..
