For years I have actively avoided all things super hero related for various reasons, but mostly because Marvel makes it all look like a bunch of white boys running around fighting which gets old. Thanks to DC’s Legends of Tomorrow and Supergirl, I have changed my mind. Not only do I ship Avalance and Dansen so hard (without those couples I’d have never given the shows a chance), but I love how both shows bring representation of so many to the forefront and I’m a sucker for how much they promote positive relationships in all forms; i.e. female friendships, close male friendships, strong support systems for friends/partners, sincere apologies when someone fraks up, but the others forgive and help them be better without guilt.
“I can help, honestly,” Sara complains from where her wife parked her in the rocking chair. “This is ridiculous.”
“You can help by sitting there and looking pretty,” Ava insists, next to her screwing together two hinges for the crib. She pauses for a moment to kiss her.
“Smile,” Zari sings, turning her phone to them. She’s been documenting the entire pregnancy for posterity, as she had put it. “Say hi to your baby.”
“Hey honey,” Sara laughs, waving at the camera while Ava kisses the top of her head again before returning to building the crib. “Your momma is being a control freak.”
“I am not!” Ava argues playfully. “I just don’t think that my gorgeous wife should have to lift a finger.”

Can I just say how much I love Sara and Nates friendship. It started when they first met and Sara didnt want him to get hurt, and then their first hug. And I just think they have the sweetest most precious connection. AND HE TAUGHT HER TO BRO HUG. Also them bonding over how much they miss Ray. God I love them so much.
