#dead romans society
I have some news regarding the potential future of the Dead Romans Society. The project is certainly dear to me and it is one I am determined to bring on, but it has been…stagnating for a while; this is why I want to revive it by turning it into something slightly different and slightly more ambitious.
The comic format I chose works better when the content is short and poignant (epigrammatic, if you will), but tends to become less compelling when it comes to longer stories: this is why I decided I will keep publishing short comic strips and single illustrations like I have been doing lately, but at the same time I will turn what I had in mind for longer storylines into a collection of novellas aimed at publication. This will allow me to publish more comics of the fun kind and to work on the stories I want to tell in a more serious way.
This is not a definitive decision, but rather an experiment; I have already taken this year as an opportunity to study digital art professionally, and I am trying to leave my comfort zones to allow my art to grow in every possible way: in the same spirit, I now want to see what the Dead Romans can become.
I thank you for reading, I thank you for being readers, and I hope you will keep following and supporting this project whatever form it takes. Ciao.
