70 Years of Rock and Metal represented by 100 of the most popular and influential bands and artists; past, present and future. Each bar signifies the band’s active years from their first single to their break-up and the colour(s) represent the band’s genre(s). I’m sure there are plenty of bands that people think may or may not deserve to be on the list, but these are the acts I personally think represent all genres, decades and importance of Rock music.
So this is what I wanted to share with you all. Probably one of the cutest interviews ever.
My observations:
Joe really said maximalism is hot. I mean look at that room hahah!
He has a table hockey set in the back, I am dead. He and Finlay must use this room as the man cave.
He flashes his phone for a second and I paused it. I swear to god almighty that his lock screen is a picture of Harper in a baby onesie. WHEN I TELL YOU I STARTED UWUING OUT LOUD.
Phil’s growing some facial hair again, perhaps going for a shadow look, which I fucking love.
The enthusiasm with these two when they talk about the album is incredible like holy moly.
Phil talks about takingJaxson to the pool in between recording which U-FUCKING-WU.
The interviewer didn’t even have to ask any questions, Joe and Phil both just chatted it up.
“Open Your Eyes” is gonna such a fucking good song based off of what they’re telling us about the recording process.
THEY HAVE 2 OTHER SONGS ON THE GO. They weren’t able to put them on the album but that means THERE’S ANOTHER ALBUM COMING SOONER RATHER THAN LATER.
Never before have they sounded so pumped and excited to write songs ugh.

Sav’s fingers bleeding while playing 12-string acoustic on “This Guitar” and no one else knowing except him bc they did it remotely
Ronan being the “postmaster” of all the guys sending bits of songs back and forth
Joe using military time on his phone and also having this font at the largest possible size
Joe’s blow up Yellow Submarine chair in the background
Joe almost saying “shit” and then catching himself and saying “hoot” instead
then him proceeding to say Fuck several times later without hesitation
“This Guitar” was first written in 2003 and Joe has been BEGGINGPhil for almost 20 years to do something with it
the way they sound so genuinely inspired to make music in the remote way they’ve been doing just warms my heart so much- like it feels so much more genuine and from the heart instead of being forced like they normally are
