O décimo episodio da décima terceira temporada da serie Supernatural faz uma “homenagem” ao NIRVANA.
No episodio “Halt & Catch Fire” (“Pare e Pegue Fogo” no Brasil) de 2015, os agentes Dean e Sam Winchester, estão à caça de um fantasma que está matando estudantes universitários através de eletrônicos e da internet.
Na cena em que interrogam uma estudante chamada Janet Novoselic, Dean e Sam se apresentam como “agentes Grohl e Cobain”.
Essa é só mais uma das referencias a ídolos da musica usadas na serie. A dupla já usou codinomes como “Moore e Ranaldo” (Thurston Moore e Lee Ranaldo, do Sonic Youth), “Tyler e Perry” (Steven Tyler e Joe Perry, do Aerosmith), Simmons e Frehley (Gene Simmons e Paul “Ace” Frehley, do KISS), “Gabriel e Collins” (Peter Gabriel e Phil Collins, do Genesis) e até mesmo “Beyoncé e Zee” (Beyoncé e Jay-Z), “Spears e Aguilera” (Britney Spears e Christina Aguilera), entre tantos outros.
