#disposable cameras
So, we only have about three or four cameras left. As far as I know Dollarama has totally stopped selling the $2 cameras… Additionally, of the 16 cameras we did send out into the world, we’ve only received2 back. And one of them was ridiculously terrible (but I’ll still post the photos because fuck I developed it).
I mean– that is I’m personally not sure if we’ve recieved anymore cameras, seeing as the co creator and other curator of this endeavor and I no longer speak. Which emotionally is way better for everybody involved but sadly the project suffers, like a neglected child. ‘Cause the return address is his.
Oh so tragic. If any of you guys think you can actually participate in the project (that is take the photos and really return them!) I’ll update the return address and um change the locks so to speak.
Maybe see if there are any more of those $2 cameras kickin around a forgotten Dollarama somewhere…

This is a series of photographs my mother shot with a disposable camera (mainly from the drivers seat of her minivan) I found the camera in her room this past march after she passed away and I was forced to sort through her belongings. I had the film processed and discovered images from a time when she was living in Ohio in a town called Mansfield. She must’ve been somewhat charmed by the autumn colors and decided to buy a disposable and commemorate the pleasant surroundings. Thought it’d be cool to honor her by showing these photos. enjoy. What was your favorite part of contributing to the ThroughWHOSE project?
It was cool not knowing what the pictures would look like until they were developed. I miss that whole process. We are in so much control with our phones or digital cameras and can edit while shooting to get the perfect image. It was nice letting that all go and just being in the moment.
