I saw this image on Pinterest and I thought it would be the perfect opportunity to try out the Zorn palette ( yellow ochre, ivory black, vermilion, and titanium white). I didn’t have the exact colours but I did the best with what I had.
I’m pretty sure the ref image is from Crimson Peak but I’ve never seen the movie so please correct me if I’m wrong.
I am honestly just in love with the house from Crimson Peak. Sure, it’s sinking into the ground and needs a roof and it’s definitely haunted but it’s beautiful.

Done for the Month of Love challenge, “Light.” Edith Allerdale from Guillermo del Toro’s fantastically tragic gothic romance Crimson Peak. I enjoyed the way her character brought light and luminosity to every scene both visually and within her own person despite her terrifying circumstances.
