genuinely don’t get evil morgana tbh. i understand her becoming the antagonist, sure, but the whole now-she-wears-eyeliner-and-smirks-evilly-and-tries-to-get-gwen-killed thing just makes no sense to me. morgana was a character w/ an extremely strong moral code. she didn’t turn against uther bc she’s ~evil~ it was because HE was evil! morgana was right! but when she became the villain they abandoned her moral code that she became the villain for. killing innocent people and harming her closest friends just isn’t something i think morgana would do. sure, morgause manipulates her into a lot of cruelty, but that gap between season 2 & 3 where morgana is missing & comes back a whole different person is just weird.
I think the writers realized that Morgana was super inconsistent and they wrote “The Dark Tower,” as an attempt to fix it, because many people believe Morgause locked Morgana in the tower as well.
