There are a lot of ways Vin/Elend could be better, but I do think it’s very special to see an established relationship in fiction. After the whole Zane thing, their issues are never about love triangles or choosing to stay or go, but trying to figure out how to be good spouses to each other.
Reading this for the first time at 13, it was good to see that even though relationships aren’t perfect, that doesn’t have to mean that the devotion between two people has to waver.

After making my way through Mistborn era 1 again, I hope to make a few more character pieces for it… and fashion ideas. The textile patters came from musing what would patterns would be made from in a world that forgot what flowers are.
My kinds of ships are the ships where the men know their women are powerful forces of nature and that they could fuck up entire armies in a matter of seconds and THEY EMBRACE IT AND TAKE PRIDE IN IT???! “Oh… It’s not me you should be worried about… It’s my WIFE.“ *smirks* YAAASSSSSSSSSS GIVE ME MORE.
“You’ve led us to die!” Fatren yelled. He was covered in koloss blood, though a patch on his shoulder looked to be his own. “Why?” Fatren demanded.
Elend simply pointed as the speck grew larger.
“What is is?” Fatren asked over the chaos of battle.
Elend smiled. “The first of those armies I promised you.”
Vin fell from the sky in a tempest of horseshoes, landing directly at the center of the koloss army.
