Her eyes seem to be on you, but right as you walk towards her Mike pushes past you to reach Eleven first.
“Mike.” She says before they envelope each other in a big hug.
Their words between one another don’t register since you’re a bit too focused on the fact that she completely ignored everyone else to focus on Mike, and on the obvious change of her appearance. More specifically on her eyeliner she had on.
She looked badass but strange at the same time.
“Why didn’t you tell me you were there? you were okay?” You hear Mike ask Eleven. But instead of having her answer Hopper interjects.
“Because I wouldn’t let her.” He walks towards her and past you too. “What the hell is this? Where the hell have you been?”
“Where have you been?” She asks right back before they hug.
They hug, with so much love. That connection they had you could see it, everyone could, it was impossible to miss it, it was impossible to twist any other way. It hurt.

“A date just you and me.” Billy tempts you in a sweet voice whilst he has you leaned back against his car, and his lips are dangerously close to yours.
You smile and shrug as you begin to make excuses in a sweet way to have him keep pleading you. “I don’t know, my dad expects me home after school. He’s strict.”
Bill licks his lips and snickers to repeat the same comment he used on you earlier. “You listen to your dad?”
You grin. “My dad, the Chief of Police? Yes. I do listen to him. Sometimes. Besides,” you say while you play with the corner of his jacket’s collar. “Good impressions matter. How would it look like if you brought me home late?”
You tilt your head and hold his gaze, Billy mimics your actions, but he does it in a much more smoother way, he even smiles at you to proceed to assure you. “I’m not scared of your dad. I don’t care who he is. Come on, I’ll take you home early, before the sun sets.” He grabs your chin with his thumb and index finger and presses a very light on your lips.

“Here?” Billy slowly asks as he leans towards the passenger window to take a better look at the dark, eerie forest line you stopped in front of.
You look out the window and nod with reluctance over the fact that you had to go home.
“Yeah,” you agree, “here.” You grab the door handle and before you pull it to open the door, you turn your head to look at Billy with a faint smile. “Thank you for the ride. I’ll see you tomorrow morning, right?”
Billy smirks and agrees. “I’ll be here.” He leans in expecting some goodnight kiss, but you only tease him by leaning and whispering to his lips.
“Goodnight.”
Rather than getting upset, Billy shares a half grin while you lean back and open the door to then climb out of the car. You proceed to watch him leave before you head home.
