“Tierra, Shaun, do you have the song?” Russ eagerly asked, Tierra, Shaun, Ross, and Julie were meeting with execs from both of their labels to test their song. She didn’t know how, but Tierra and Shaun were able to come together and get the song done. He actually wasn’t that bad to be around even though this fake dating thing seemed to be a bit much, it was nice to finally have someone to talk to that’s also n the industry like her.
“Yeah, Shaun and I came up with a song, we’re calling it Private Dancer.” Tierra played the song for execs in the room and she nervously glanced around the room to gauge everyone’s reaction. When the song was over the execs whispered to Julie and Russ respectively, Tierra nervously glanced at Shaun who sent her a wink, she blushed slightly before turning away. When the execs left the room Julie and Russ turned to Tierra and Shaun excitedly
“They love the song!” Julie announced making Tierra let out a breath she didn’t even realize she was holding in
“They want to drop the song soon so it’s eligible for the Grammys. I think we should drop the single on Monday.” Russ went on to explain the next steps and Tierra could feel her anxiety rising slightly, everything was happening so fast and it was taking a little bit longer to comprehend everything. She tried to calm herself down before it became a full-on thing but she wasn’t doing very well.

Chapter One Summary: Tierra bumps into one of her neighbors in the apartment gym
Tierra always started her day with either yoga or a workout, today was workout day. Since moving into her condo, she’s been taking full advantage of the complex’s gym. With her being new to the music scene, she wants to keep up her image by staring in shape, she knows how brutal the press can be to artists, especially black female artists. She grabbed her water bottle, phone, and air pods and was on her way to the gym.
When she reached the gym, she only saw one person in there, a man. She’s seen him a few times, they live on the same floor. She noticed that he had his hair pulled back in a low curly ponytail and she got to see more of his face. Tierra already thought he was cute but with his hair pulled back he was fione. He was doing some pushups and she couldn’t help but notice the serious look on his face. Tierra made herself stop looking so she wouldn’t look like a creep. She started to warm up her body before she did her usual routine but not without stealing glances at the man across the room.
Once he finished his pushups he walked over to the treadmill and started his workout. The gym was only so big so there were only two treadmills and it just so happened; the man was using Tierra’s favorite one. The other treadmill didn’t have the incline setting and she preferred to use that one. She didn’t want to be that person she really wanted to use that treadmill. She didn’t have a whole lot of time before she met with her vocal coach. She sucked in a deep breath before making her way over to the man on her treadmill.
“And then Bitch guess the fuck what? Come to find out this nigga got a whole family with like five kids.” Shauna’s client, Jada, said
“Girl bye, that nigga ain’t have no damn five kids,” Kia, another stylist said from across the room
“Yes the fuck he did and the wife was pregnant too.”
“That’s what your ass get for going on them dating sites. Told your ass to delete them before someone kidnaps you.”
“Shauna, you should get one too,” Jada suggested
“Fuck I look like getting a dating app.”
“Girl, don’t act like that, I know you need some dick in your life.”

“I’m not tellin’ y’all, the way you talk about everybody.” The bell at the front door when off signaling that someone had walked in. Shauna looked up and saw a tall black, scratch that, a tall fine ass black man. The first thing that Shauna looked at was his hair and noticed immediately that he does not do his own hair and if he does, he doesn’t know what the hell he’s doing.

“Wow, a waterfall!!!!” Zan said from behind Shauna, he rushed forward eager to play in the water, knowing her son, she scooped him up
