ELEVEN MONTHS LATER…

Your high school holds an annual tailgate before the final home football game of each season. This is the first time you are motivated (and excited) to attend the tailgate. The past three years, you’d decided to skip out, but due to this year being your Senior year (Thomas also may or may not have something to do with it), you partake in this year’s festivities along with the rest of the student body.

After the bell rings, dismissing everybody from their last class of the day, a sea of students migrates down to the football stadium. There, you and Maria discover food vendors of all sorts along with party games that are scattered around the perimeter of the stadium and in the parking lot. It almost feels like a carnival in a way, except there are no rides and you’re surrounded by a bunch of kids with a copious amount of school pride. 

You and your best friend have fun and roam around for some time, getting a bite to eat at a vendor here and there. Everyone around you is having a blast, whether they’re walking around in their friend groups or playing games.

hi there, tumblr. i am alive.

it’s been YEARS since i’ve been active on tumblr, so i don’t know who actually cares that i’m lowkey back, but hi!

the last time i was active was back in my sophomore year of high school, and looking back on that one post i made… ew. i was really a lil kid, postin’ like that.

but now, i’ve graduated high school + i am now about to be a freshman in college. shit’s crazy.

a lot has changed since then, and i’ve really been more active as an artist:

i’ve been releasing passion projects that i’ve been proud of.

i released my debut album eightytwo days (available on all streaming platforms) at the top of new year, and wrote all of the songs on that album. best part about it? all of it was brought to life with my creative friends.

i am currently in the process of releasing a cover of the one n only rafa’ssongoxygen, along with a video to it on youtube. this will be the third song i’ve covered of his (still lowkey crazy) + i’m excited for the little twist i’m putting on it.

• (side note: he sent me the instrumental. i’ve still been in contact with rafael this whole time, and i’m still so grateful for all his love + support.)

i’ve gotten opportunities that i didn’t even think would be possible at the age that i was at the time.

at 16, i performed on the main stage of the las vegas house of blues. the year after, i was asked to sing back up for one of my favorite artists, H.E.R. at the iHeart Radio Music Festival. (unfortunately i couldn’t go through with the show due to my age). both were amazing experiences.

and i’ve picked up on new passions + have been working on honing in on those even more.

aside from performing at shows, i picked up dancing + have been at it for about three years now. and, during quarantine, i picked up learning how to play guitar + have been playing for a few months!

i wanna talk to y’all again, i miss y’all! so send some requests my way, + i’m more than happy to respond :) much love!
