blondebrainpower:

Beth Carroll from Beth Carroll Art is an Australian artist, living and working in Ireland.

She started embroidery last year but recently gave into urges to play with embroidery on tulle. Her work quickly took on a life of it’s own, even tricking some people into thinking they were looking at a bird that happily landed on a hoop in her garden. The bird’s name is Duffy.

I looked her up, and Beth has more of her art up on her Instagram – including the most beautiful moth I’ve ever seen. Incredible work!

I finished it! I put so much time and energy into this piece and I’m super happy with it.

And also super happy to start a new project becaue this one took me 9 months or so of on and off work. I think I’m gonna work on something small first but then I have a huge project in mind!

God damn, I’ve been working on this for months and it finally feels like I’m in the home stretch. I’m off work for the next month, so maybe it will be completed by then. As much as I love this design, I’m ready to work on something new.

Can you tell im doing the easier parts first?

I smashed my thumb a couple weeks ago a pretty much had to put this project on a hard stop for a minute. Its nice getting back into it.

Aaaaaaahhhhhh this took like 45 minutes to transfer

I learned French knots specifically to make this. There’s some imperfections and I had difficulty with some of the stitching, but overall I’m happy with it. Definitely another fav mon. I may do another one, but shiney in the future.

Looks like I forgot to post this after finishing. Very pleased with how this guy turned out.

Work in progress on a little Mareep. First project doing French knots and it took me a few times but I think ive got them figured out now.
