I’ve been watching season 4 of The Crown and this scene is my favourite - so joyous and bittersweet. Emma Corrin is fantastic.

The Crown creator and writer Peter Morgan joins stars Olivia Colman, Tobias Menzies, Josh O'Connor, Gillian Anderson and Emma Corrin along with moderator Edith Bowman to discuss the fourth season of Netflix’s critically acclaimed drama series, including the introduction of two iconic historical figures: Margaret Thatcher and Princess Diana.

Let’s Dance (wherever and whenever!)
Find somebody who looks at you the way the Royals gaze at stags
If your family step out of line, give them the Margaret treatment
But keep it real: even Princesses get weird sometimes
Don’t mess with the Chef: some are salty enough to begin with
Never forget to pamper your furry friends
And if someone makes a fool of themselves to give you a gift, they’re a keeper (Charles, you Muppet!! )
Gillian Anderson & Emma Corrin at Letters Live
Both Gillian and Emma appeared on stage at the Royal Albert Hall in London last night (30th Oct 2021) to help raise money for fantastic causes.
Gillian’s two letters included ‘Follow your dreams, not your boyfriends’ [pictured above], a letter from Gillian to her 16 year old self (prev published here.) She also read ‘She was more than a saint’ written about Eleanor Roosevelt in a letter by Martha Gellhorn to Adlai Stevenson. Gillian will soon play Eleanor Roosevelt in the Showtime series, ‘The First Lady.’
Emma’s two letters were ‘May your work be condemned to the pastry–cook’s shop’ by Jane Austen to her brothers, and ‘Does everyone really have something good in them?’ by Margaret Veglahn to Harper Lee.

An excerpt from a book about Ann Wintour was released and in the snippet Tom Ford lamented how ridiculous people dress for the Met Gala. Although he didn’t name names all signs pointed to Katy Perry as someone who drew his annoyance (I mean she just the only one who dressed up as a hamburger. ). Well Perry toned it down in an Oscar De La Renta.
