I had a great day with my friend, just walking random streets in Jongno. Jongno is an old school area in Seoul, not fancy at all but that’s why I love it. You can deeply meet the real faces of Seoul! If you follow the street, you can see all kinds of small shops and people. It’s well known as “Hongdae for elderly” but these days many young hipster kids move to this area and open nice cafes or bars.

Here are some recommandations in Jongno

1. Dongmyo

: Vintage street market. Take cash!

2. Dongdaemun Market

Not only for fancy shopping but create your own! You can find many ingredients for cloths, accessory and so on. I recommand the fifth floor with all kinds of jewelry, accessories and phone decorations.

3. Gwangjang market

I suppose everyone knows now but still, here is the best place to experience Korean street food.

4. Euljiro

The latest hipster area in Seoul. Many small cafes and restaurant. It’s right next to Myeongdong. Please don’t eat the shitty street food in Myeongdong but travel in Euljiro!
