Hello all! As some of you may know, this app doesn’t ask for consent about putting works on their app. Ao3 can’t do ANYTHING about it since it’s not illegal. But, AS WRITERS ON AO3, we can change it! Report this app on the app store because it is hurting writers to see that this person is POSTING writers’ works on this app.
If you use this app, please don’t. They aren’t asking for consent.

No subscription is needed to use this app. Downloading and using this app is not a substitute for getting an Invitation to post stories on AO3; nobody needs an Invitation to read stories on AO3, or give kudos. Archive Of Our Own is created, hosted and maintained by a team of volunteers, and they do not ask anyone to pay to share or read stories on the site. If you are kind enough to give me a “tip” that money goes to me, not to The Organization for Transformative Works or AO3. Unofficial fanfic Reader for the Archive Of Our Own (AO3) web site which has a huge fanfiction library.
People can wait for invites to the Ao3 website, can’t they? Is it THAT hard to wait for an invite? They are even ASKING FOR MONEY! They are profiting off of this app while Ao3 and writers AREN’T.
So, what I want everyone to do:
Report this app in the play store and give it 1 star and state the reason. Fill out forms on the app saying you would rather not want your works to be on there. And lastly: hope that the play store will take this app down.

This app, “Fanfic Pocket Archive Library”, is lifting all public content from Ao3 and making it available through a service they profit from.
Your work has been stolen and is being used to make money for a third party.

Any fanfiction that can be accessed without a password on Ao3 is already available in this app. Yours, mine, every fan creator’s. Whether this is illegal I do not know, but it is certainly unethical and needs to be fought. Ao3 is a site of unparalleled integrity and shows the utmost respect to creators, so this content grab is an even bigger slap in the face for that reason.
Feel free to contact Ao3 as well to alert them to this issue. Let’s take em down, folks. In the meantime, you can put your Ao3 in private mode to prevent any more data theft.
