Feature: Earth Manual Exhibition (Kobe, Japan)
A year ago, Typhoon Gener hit the Philippines bringing in dark-grey skies filled with rains that left the country in a gloomy state. However, despite this sad event, Filipinos have remained positive in their outlook in life. To show encouragement to our fellowmen, Ayala Museum has called for inspiring works from designers with the hashtag #FilipinoSpiritIsWaterproof.
Recently, Ayala Museum’s graphic design campaign was selected to be part of the Earth Manual Project, an exhibition that focuses on a theme addressing disaster preparedness gathering exemplary creative approaches from different parts of the world, held at Design and Creative Center (KIITO) in Kobe, Japan. As part of the city-wide art festival (2013 Kobe Biennale), it will run until October 24, 2013.
It amazes me how design and art could be of help through social media. So, to the genius people behind this great campaign, I would like to thank them for giving us this wonderful opportunity!

Two Tipping Updates
Firstly: Post-level tipping is here…
…and by “here,” we mean on web, for now. But! On web! You can now enable tipping on a post-by-post basis. This setting will launch on web from today, March 22. It’s in the works for Android soon, and iOS in the future.
Why?
A lot of you have requested this feature. It means that you can now decide which posts can receive monetary appreciation from your peers via tipping.
How?
- Sign up for tipping. Here’s how.
- Make (or edit!) your very own, very good post.
- Select the cog icon in the top-right corner of the draft.
- From here, you can toggle “Allow Tips.”
Tipping is for your original posts only. When you reblog a post, regardless of whether the OP has tipping enabled, you will not have the ability to enable tipping on your reblog.
Secondly: Tipping goes global!
When we originally announced tipping for the US, we told you we’d be rolling it out to other territories soon. Well, soon is here, now.
You can now enable tipping in Australia, Canada, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, New Zealand, Spain, or the United Kingdom. Join your friends in the US by gifting a sweet little something to your favorite blogs (and posts—post-level tipping is out to everyone on web, as of today). Happy tipping, Tumblr!
