Hi everyone! Halloween season is right around the corner, and as I usually do around this time of year, I have a free hoodie hack pattern to share!
https://cholyknight.com/2020/09/04/pikachu-hoodie-hack/
Long time fans might know that I used to make Pokemon hoodies regularly. But since my schedule is pretty much full-time pattern-making now, I wanted to start sharing the templates I used! Why not start the collection with everyone’s favorite: Pikachu? ♥
So like my other hoodie hacks, you can use the templates here to add onto a hooded garment. It’s made with my Cosplay Hoodie pattern in mind, but it could also work on a pre-purchased hoodie or some of my other free patterns for a scoodie, shrug, or cowl – found here: https://cholyknight.com/accessories/
The templates include the classic Pikachu ears, back stripes, face, and tail as well as an option for a female tail (with the heart-shape at the end) or a shocked face from the meme
It also comes with applique templates so you can sew the face by hand or machine, as well as embroidery files. So if you adjust the front of the hood to be one full piece, you can embroider the face instead!
Like all of my other free patterns, this one is available to everyone for all time! You’re also welcome to sell items you’ve sewn with the pattern – though a credit back to me is much appreciated I hope you all like it!

Hello everyone! Here’s the pattern that was teased earlier this week! It’s a Panda Memory Bear Plush ♥
https://cholyknight.com/2020/08/07/panda-plush/
I’ve had requests for both memory bears and pandas in the past, so I thought I might combine them! This project is designed so it can be made with a multitude of light to medium weight fabrics, so you can use the clothes from a loved one as a nice memento! In the instructions you’ll find examples of how the bear looks with 4 different fabrics as well as tips for using apparel fabrics in the construction.
It’s almost entirely machine-sewn for strength (unless you want to add a 3D muzzle), which does make the body a little crowded when adding the arms and legs. But if you take it slowly, a few inches at a time, you’ll get through ♥
The pattern comes with applique templates so you can sew the eyes by hand or machine, but there are embroidery files included as well that work with 4" x 4" hoops.
Like all of my other free patterns, this one is available to everyone for all time! You’re also welcome to sell items you’ve sewn with the pattern – though a credit back to me is much appreciated I hope you all like it!

Hello everyone! As promised I have a new addition to my Ghibli pattern collection today! ♥
https://cholyknight.com/2020/07/10/teto-plush/
It’s the cute fox-squirrel, Teto, from some of the older Ghibli movies: Nausicaa of the Valley of the Wind, and Laputa Castle in the Sky
I opted to do this one with a flat, beanie-like body to include all of the tiny body markings. With that in mind, it was perfect for machine embroidery. So I created a large version for 6" x 10" hoops, and a small version for 5" x 7" or 4" x 4" hoops. Of course there are applique templates for regular sewing machines as well. The larger size is definitely easier to applique, but at least you get some variety this way!
Like all of my other free patterns, this one is available to everyone for all time! You’re also welcome to sell items you’ve sewn with the pattern – though a credit back to me is much appreciated ^_^ I hope you all like it!

P.S. If you downloaded the file super early, there was an error with the pattern and it’s missing the templates :( But thanks to you guys catching it it’s all fixed :) So go ahead and give it another try (it should say #2 in the file name) ♥
